In the early hours of 11th January we have a New Moon at 20 degrees Capricorn. Our first New Moon of 2024, and with it the start of a fresh 28 days lunar cycle begins. This is the ideal time for setting your intentions for the new year, or recommitting to them.

The <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/new-moon-in-sagittarius-december-2023-mercury-retrograde" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Moon</a> phase is when the Sun and Moon are aligned astrologically in the same sign. There is a merging and coherence of their energies at this time, and along with other planetary aspects, it stamps the next 28 days with this energetic imprint.
The energy also carries out even further to the corresponding Full Moon at 1 degree Capricorn on 21st June 2024. This is Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
These are useful markers for intention setting. By considering and committing to your intentions using these dates we are working with the natural rhythms of the cosmos to help us achieve them.
Set your micro intentions or goals at the New Moon for the next 28 days, and your bigger macro goals for the next 6 months to the Full Moon, dovetailing the micro into the macro for even greater impact.
This is one of the ways I work with the lunar cycles for myself and guide my clients to manifest their desires too.
Just to be clear, when I say <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/manifest-an-audience-with-roxie-nafousi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">manifest</a> (which has become an increasingly popular buzzword recently), that doesn&rsquo;t mean choosing what you want, then sitting back expecting the results to magically appear.
This can happen for smaller manifestations, but the bigger goals like increased income, finding a partner, a home or new job requires something more.
We need these four pillars to be in action in unison:
Intention: This means knowing what you want and committing to it continually
Self belief: Which is believing it is possible for you on a subconscious level
Aligned action: This looks like consistently taking steps towards your intention&nbsp;
Frequency expansion: Which requires being in energetic and nervous system alignment with your manifestation for you to match with it and, importantly, retain it.
While intention setting <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/why-ibiza-is-the-perfect-place-to-mend-a-broken-heart" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ceremonies</a>, rituals and vision boards are nice, my beliefs are more grounded and practical (this is my Taurus Sun and Saturn plus Capricorn <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/what-are-the-differences-between-sun-moon-and-rising-signs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ascendant</a> and Mars speaking!)
Our life IS the ceremony and ritual. It&rsquo;s by being in ceremony with the actions we take and the beliefs we have every day that we align with our manifestations. No amount of holding hands in a circle, burning sage and singing at the moon will do that.
The New Moon this month is in the steady, ambitious and disciplined earth sign of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/december-astrology-capricorn-season-2023-winter-solstice-what-to-expect" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Capricorn</a>. Capricorn is the get shit done vibe. It is the energy with which we start every year. For 2024, it is presenting to us the question; what do we want to build for the long term?
The majority of planets are now in forward motion (just Uranus is left retrograding until the end of January) so we are pretty much all systems go.
Mars, our planet of action and initiative, joins the Sun and Moon in Capricorn - where it is exalted adding extra determination to this New Moon. Plus, Mars is in an easy aspect to enthusiastic and expansive Jupiter, meaning that there is an excitement building for taking action and getting serious about our ambitions.
We will have more clarity now for what is taking shape, there is more momentum after a slightly sluggish start to the new year. This New Moon is presenting to us an energy that requires us to get organized and serious about our intentions for 2024. If we have made our choices, now it&rsquo;s the time to do something with them. Design your strategy, take aligned action and be motivated by your goals and ambition for the year ahead.
While everyone, regardless of your personal astrology, can optimise this time and dial into the planetary energies presenting now, those with major planets or points in Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra between 18-22 degrees, this New Moon is especially significant for you.
