From September 15 to October 1, the French maison will present its traveling exhibition in the Financial District of São Paulo, which explores the history in motion of Hermès.

The fashion house founded in 1837 by Thierry <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/hermes-woman-show-autumn-winter-2023-paris-collection-photo-look-video" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Herm&egrave;s</a>, compiles a series of memories that demonstrate the savoir-faire of the brand and the passage of generations of great creators and artisans: from equestrian items, through its leather goods, to the present day. For this occasion, the Herm&egrave;s Heritage &ndash; In Motion chapter presents objects that evoke the desire to go somewhere else, escape and discover. Something similar happened at the beginning of the brand, when the world was changing and both men and women wanted to move easily in an increasingly hectic world. That is why Herm&egrave;s, since then, has constantly moved forward with lightness, elegance and, above all, with a lot of ingenuity.

Under the direction of Bruno Gaudichon &ndash; curator of the Museum of Art and Industry &ldquo;Le Piscine&rdquo; in Roubaix &ndash; and the set designer, Laurence Fontaine, this <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/jerome-ferriere-x-blakstad-an-ibiza-exhibition" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exhibition</a> is a testimony to the essence of Herm&egrave;s. Within its extensive collection, there are both vintage and contemporary items (from 2014 to 2020): the brand's first scarf, with a particular design of concentric circles of horse-drawn carriages; the Bolide picnic bag created in 1920, which is inspired by the Sac pour l'Auto; the pair of Postill&oacute;n riding boots; among others.

“The Hermès Heritage exhibition series shows the roots and origins of the house as a museum. (...) Hermès is always concerned about tradition and heritage and its relationship with them. This exhibition views the objects from a future-oriented perspective, rather than a mere vision of reminiscences. From a set of cutlery owned by a British military officer and a whiskey flask to a miniature carriage, the house always considers how to combine the collection with today&#39;s advanced technologies. All objects shown in this exhibition are based on the tools of the &quot;Movement&quot;; They tell you about the foundations of Hermès and how to make tools that are more efficient and elegant at the same time,” said Bruno Gaudichon.
