Opening during London Fashion Week at the Offer Waterman gallery, the exhibition connects the clothes of JW Anderson and Loewe with the works of modern art artists who celebrate British culture.

An exhibition entirely curated by <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/jonathan-anderson-summer-daze" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jonathan Anderson</a> which brings together the most identifying creations from the collections of his namesake brand, JW Anderson and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/i-dreamt-of-loewe-short-film-luca-guadagnino" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loewe</a>, exhibited with the works of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/beyond-the-frame" target="_blank" rel="noopener">contemporary and modern art</a> artists who have investigated the most personal facets of the city of London. It is called "On Foot", which can be visited until 28 October at the Offer Waterman gallery, and will investigate the potential of clothes to inhabit the spaces of the gallery exactly as they inhabit the body, giving the object itself sculptural and contemplative value. Imagined as if it were a walk through the streets of London, the exhibition highlights the contrasts of the city from flowering parks to skateparks, crowded streets and even pubs.

Among the selected artists, the names of Igshaan Adams, Frank Auerbach, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Hans Coper, Shawanda Corbett, Sara Flynn, Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth, Akiko Hirai, David Hockney, Leon Kossoff, Stanislava Kovalcikova, Florian Krewer, Doron resurface Langberg, Jennifer Lee, LS Lowry, Henry Moore, Cedric Morris, Dame Magdalene Odundo, Jem Perucchini, Walter Sickert, Christopher Wood. While the artist Anthea Hamilton - with whom Jonathan Anderson had also presented the wonderful exhibition "The Squash" at Tate Britain in the past - created a limited edition version of the Pigeon bag clutch, exhibited in the gallery's warehouse together with other works.
We already knew that <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-intersection-of-fashion-and-art" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fashion and art</a> have formed an effective partnership throughout history, Jonathan Anderson decides to inhabit the spaces of Offer Waterman using the same approach applicable to the body, celebrating the complexity of the city of London. A less conventional and effective mediation between fashion and art.
