Philip Mountbatten , son of Prince Andrew of Greece, was alongside Queen Elizabeth as Prince Consort and Duke of Edinburgh for 73 years. They were an unusual couple for many. However, Queen Elizabeth II and her daughter-in-law, Lady Diana Spencer , were much more alike than one might have imagined. Both have devoted their lives with extreme force to public service, they were devoted to their families and their subjects.
