Philip Mountbatten , son of Prince Andrew of Greece, was alongside Queen Elizabeth as Prince Consort and Duke of Edinburgh for 73 years. They were an unusual couple for many. Elizabeth also had 14 prime ministers in power during her reign, from Winston Churchill who almost formed her as sovereign, to the tense relationship with Margaret Tatcher, to Tony Blair who invited her to a public statement after Diana's death for avoid the crisis of the Monarchy. However, Queen Elizabeth II and her daughter-in-law, Lady Diana Spencer , were much more alike than one might have imagined. Both have devoted their lives with extreme force to public service, they were devoted to their families and their subjects. Elizabeth II, however, was extremely silent and traditional, and in some situations she did not appreciate the modern and straightforward vision of a much more exuberant Lady Diana.
