&lsquo;I'm originally from Colombia. I moved to Spain as a small child with my parents, to what was then a very small tourist town &ndash; Benidorm. My father is a musician and he was looking for work in Europe. He found it on the Costa Blanca and he brought my family and a lot of other friends over from Colombia. My father&rsquo;s band played jazz and Latin music and my sister and I grew up at shows with him and my mom, who also sings and plays instruments. I remember falling asleep backstage, always around other musicians &ndash; music is in my blood.&nbsp;

When I was a teenager, I began to feel an affinity with the DJ world. First with rappers and rap bands, then B Boys and the DMC World scene. Then I began to play electronic music and started playing in some clubs in Benidorm, which had a very strong house culture back then - there was an outpost of Pacha and one of KU. At 18, I made the pilgrimage to Ibiza for the first time. It was the early nineties and Ibiza was the most beautiful, intense, creative place on the planet. Pretty soon I was playing at <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/an-audience-with-luciano-ibiza-dj-electronic-music-interview-dc-10" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DC-10</a>, on Monday mornings with the legendary Balearic People crew. A few years later I got my first Sunday slot at Space &ndash; 4pm on the Sunset Terrace. It was an incredibly unique and magical time, all the coolest people you ever saw were there and there was a totally inclusive vibe. Maybe the best of all times!&nbsp;

I played at Privilege too and I ended up meeting Erick Morillo, who really took me under his wing. He told me he loved my music and he did so much to progress my career. I played at Pacha many times with him and all over the world. Through him I met Danny Whittle, Mark Netto and all the big promoters. I ended up with an official residency at Space and I remained there for the last eight years of the club&rsquo;s existence. These were wild times in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/the-best-ibiza-hikes-four-unmissable-ibiza-walks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ibiza</a>, when the island felt like the centre of the world. My life was totally wrapped up with the club, and when Space closed, I needed to evolve.&nbsp;

I still loved electronic music but the style I was playing didn&rsquo;t connect with me on an emotional level anymore. My mind and soul had evolved and my music needed to as well. I felt a very strong desire to create something that was just mine, that reflected my journey but also my roots. I had always called my father a &lsquo;bohemian&rsquo; musician &ndash; the way he lived, the way he played, the way he travelled &ndash; there was a sense of freedom to it and a certain nostalgia and I felt that I wanted to honour that feeling with something that combined music, art and fashion &ndash; all the things that defined my Universe. I returned to Barcelona and began to work on a series of ideas that would eventually become the <a href="https://www.beachouseibiza.com/boho-experience" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BOHO Experience</a>.&nbsp;

It was around the same time I met Natalie and fell very deeply in love. BOHO became a reflection of those feelings &ndash; love, inclusivity, joy, passion and purpose. We play music from all over the world that is positive, uplifting and melodic. There&rsquo;s a very ethnic and organic sound to it but it&rsquo;s also upbeat. BOHO began in Barcelona and has travelled to Tulum, to Dubai and all over the world, but Ibiza is our home. It&rsquo;s where the soul of the party will always be, here on the beach at Beachouse. BOHO is the culmination of all my years spent obsessing over music and soaking up the atmosphere of the dancefloor. It&rsquo;s an expression of who I am. It&rsquo;s my life&rsquo;s work.&rsquo;

&lsquo;Camilo and I met through a mutual friend over ten years ago. He saw a picture of me and reached out on Facebook. We spent over a year speaking before we actually met in real life, and as soon as we saw each other we both knew. I was raised in Austria, where my father is a very famous singer and performer from the 1970s. His stage name is Waterloo and he&rsquo;s a total bohemian, still running around shirtless with long hair and beads at 79 years old! I grew up very much on the music scene with him &ndash; on tour and in the recording studio - but in my own life I followed a more corporate path, opening an advertising agency. It wasn&rsquo;t until I met Camilo that I realised that music was my calling, too.&nbsp;

I&rsquo;d always loved music and fashion, but I didn&rsquo;t dare to escape the career I&rsquo;d created because it was successful and I had a good income. After a year and a half together, Camilo said to me, &lsquo;just leave. Come and live with me in Barcelona, let&rsquo;s work on this creative project together and see where it takes us.&rsquo; So, I moved to Barcelona and started to study Spanish. Together we conceptualised the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/bohoexperienceofficial/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BOHO Experience</a> and we presented it to CDLC, a club that Camilo worked with in Barcelona. They totally loved it and they helped us to get it off the ground. They were our initial investors and they believed in us right from the start. That was seven years ago now and BOHO has gone from strength to strength. During the pandemic we took the party to Tulum and spent months living on the beach and in the jungle, hosting the most beautiful, soulful gatherings for this incredible tribe of people that had gravitated there from across the globe to ride out the storm together. I began to play the warm-up sets and suddenly I realised my calling.&nbsp;

We intended to stay in Tulum for five weeks and ended up there for four months, connecting with so many amazing souls. Back in Ibiza, we reconnected with the DJ Clint Lee and he helped us secure our residency at Beachouse. <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/beach-house-ibiza-sofija-mehta-our-house-is-yours" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Beachouse</a> feels like home. We get offers from all over the world to expand, to become bigger, to make more money, but Camilo and I always follow our gut. We make all our business decisions from the heart and we want to protect and nurture the beautiful BOHO family we have created. This party isn&rsquo;t about money and it&rsquo;s not about fame. It&rsquo;s about putting our creativity out into the world and sharing our passion and our purpose. The BOHO Experience is the most authentic expression of ourselves and we will never do anything to jeopardise its essence.&rsquo;
