Interior Designer and founder of Kayser Studio shares 
his Ibiza insider tips.

Since 2014, <a href="https://www.kayserstudio.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Georg Kayser Studio</a> has been dedicated to crafting unique and elegant interiors and architectural spaces, where every detail matters. Born in Stuttgart to a German father and a Guatemalan mother, Georg draws inspiration from his multicultural heritage and the timeless beauty of the Mediterranean. My personal style signifiers are colours and my seemingly randomness in choosing things.&nbsp;
The last thing I bought and loved was a pair of vintage appliques that I found in a store in Mallorca. They have these beautiful black arms and small curvaceous woven lamp shades. They are elegant, a bit kitsch, and I still don't know where to use them at home, but I love them.&nbsp;

The thing I&rsquo;m eyeing next is definitely a piece by <a href="https://dantemen.com/collections/pre-fall-24?gad_source=1&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQiAy8K8BhCZARIsAKJ8sfRcPhSWeUBaRUlnEtHuDZ6T4mlce8ZBJosf8tNzMzLJjKmzl2T39yEaAgo_EALw_wcB" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dante men</a>, a small brand from Greece. I always find some nice pieces there.

My first style Icon was a friend that I met when I was 15 at Omen (Sven V&auml;th&acute;s Club in Frankfurt). She was this beautiful, artistic flight attendant, who opened my eyes to the world and the big city which Frankfurt was to me back then. I loved her apartment where we would have dinner on big cushions on the floor, her French laissez-faire way of doing things, her way of combining vintage pieces with new clothes, and her entourage.&nbsp;

My work has taught me the difference between looking at things and seeing things. To always analyse and question everything, stay curious, be experimental, and be self-critical. That spatial design has an immense influence over our moods and well-being. Those things have a price for a reason. That good work can only be achieved when working with a good team. That only a good client allows you to achieve good work. And to let go after you finish something, which is related to challenging your ego.&nbsp;

My first mentor was even my father, who always bought me design magazines, and dragged me out to see buildings. He was an architect and city planner.&nbsp; Later a friend that I met at university in Cologne, who has a beautiful aesthetic for everything she does and designs and teaches, and how she lives. As for architects, there are so many. Eileen Grey, Le Corbusier,&nbsp;

It's sad to say but my carry-on essentials I&rsquo;m never without it's my mobile phone.

In Ibiza we need to be extra aware of affordable housing for the people. There are two beautiful social housing projects that worked with sustainable materials like for example <a href="https://peristoral.com/proyectos/raw-rooms-casas-de-tierra-43-social-housing-ibiza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rammed earth. </a>It is necessary to keep the entire spectrum in mind.&nbsp;

I would say that my new favourite Ibiza beach is&nbsp; Cala d'en Serra. I discovered last summer and I loved the lack of any pretentiousness, the left behind concrete structure on the way to the beach, covered in graffiti, and the basic &ldquo;chiringuito&rdquo; with the typical fisherman's huts or &ldquo;casetas varadero&rdquo;

My secret spot is a secret.&nbsp;


My go-to party pal is my boyfriend.

The best place to dance in Ibiza is Pikes, the only place that feels still genuine to me

I couldn&rsquo;t live without the &ldquo;descuento de residente&rdquo; (resident discount)&nbsp; for traveling between islands.&nbsp;

My top Ibiza souvenir is definitely not the sal de Ibiza... But I like the vibe of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C-5NjHxNaNJ/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Parada in Santa Gertrudis</a>, they have a fun selection of products there.

I&rsquo;d take a lunch date to Es Torrent, a classical beach restaurant.

If I could encourage people in Ibiza to do one thing it would be to sell all their SUV&acute;s (apart from the vintage ones)

A recent island find is <a href="https://ibiza.travel/de/directorio/casabroner/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Museu Casa Broner</a> at the edge of D'alt Villa, a little gem that tells you an interesting story of the first artists and intellectuals coming to Ibiza, seeking refuge inside the small winding alleys of the old town.&nbsp;

My Ibiza life began when on the one hand I got invited for a week by a friend to his birthday party, and that's when I met my adopted Ibiza mum, Hope. And parallel to that is my boyfriend <a href="https://www.instagram.com/alexlagency/?hl=es" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alex Ljumblom</a> who has a concierge agency on this island but whom I met in Barcelona. The following summer it all fell together and now we are one big Ibiza family

Something I would never part with is <a href="https://alexcarro.com/products/vegan-balancing-face-oil-30ml&nbsp;" target="_blank" rel="noopener">My face oil by Alex Carro</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;

My fave apps are Pinterest, Vueling, GoogleMaps, Uber, Soundcloud&nbsp;&nbsp;

A great book I read recently was not really a typical book, but a book of the "The Imaginary Institution of India" that was recently on show at the Barbican in London. It tells about the turbulent social and political times of India between the 70s and 90s. It reminded me also of a movie that I love Cobalt Blue by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachin_Kundalkar">Sachin Kundalkar</a>

If I wasn&rsquo;t an Interior designer I&rsquo;d have been anything that has something to do with empathy&nbsp;
