Jonathan Anderson at Paris Fashion Week creates a men&#39;s spring summer 2023 collection in which natural elements of grass and plants interact with digital reproduction devices.

Organic and artifact, juxtapositions and antithesis, natural and digital. In an aseptic space, optical white at the limit of visual endurance, the creations of the Loewe spring summer 2023 men's collection parade. The creative approach generates a proposal in which everything that would appear to be infeasible at first glance becomes real. Jonathan Anderson places grass sprouts, chia plants and catswort on the garments of the collection and shoes and then technological devices of visual reproduction are integrated tailored coats and accessories that complete the looks. The concept is to prepare installations for the archetypal wardrobe composed of leather bomber jackets, sweatshirts with a sporty attitude, shirts and trousers treated with ozone, coats with a minimal cut and sweaters in pilling knitwear.

In Loewe&#39;s men&#39;s spring summer 2023 collection, Jonathan Anderson works with surfaces: smooth and new ones are combined with irregular surfaces that seem worn. Technological gadgets stack up on the leather coat: earphones, pen drives, phone cases. In a period in which green fashion is free with many interpretations, Loewe collaborates with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ulargui_escalona/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paula Ulargui Escalona</a> to create garments and accessories that include plants grown directly on the pieces. These are chia and Catswort plants that grow directly on coats, 5-pocket denim pants and running shoes. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">The goal was to return the idea that the garments blend with nature over time and it took 20 days to reach the desired level of growth in a purpose built polygon on the outskirts of Paris. They require regular watering and maintenance to ensure a runway-ready look.
