The Coquette trend alludes to a "coquettish" woman translated from French, but the trend - which went viral on TikTok with the hashtag #coquettecore - was not born with the aim of provoking. The coquette woman is a woman who loves romance and innocence, which refers to Nabokov's Lolita, sensual without realizing it, to Liv Tyler in the role of Lucy in the film I dance alone and to Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette.
