And today, ballet is becoming the starting point for everyday fashion.

The world of dance elevates fashion to the level of a fairy tale and dreams, and the ornate costumes seen on the stage unleash your imagination and invite you on an adventurous journey. The designers captured the idea and brought everyday fashion closer to the dreamy images of ballet.

The fragility and grace of the dancers soaring like a fairy on stage have become the designers ’desire to adapt this lightness to high-fashion creations that require exceptional craftsmanship. Thin tulle cascades are one of the most popular hints of classical ballet. The tulle ruffle dresses and skirts seen in the spring and summer collections of the fashion houses Giambattista Valli , Alexander McQueen and Simone Rocha in 2022 are reminiscent of the newly interpreted classic ballerina skirts &quot;tutu&quot;. But when it comes to everyday fashion, to keep these ephemeral tulle clothes from fading like melting memories of dreams, in reality they need stylistic grounding. So a layer of tulle is combined with coarser footwear, leather biker jackets, casual-style headgear and colorful sunglasses.

Ballerina-wearing corsets have also become an inspiration for designers, and the fashion houses Acne Studios , Sportmax and Jean Paul Gaultier have taken over to redesign them . Invited to create the haute-couture collection for the latter fashion house, designer Glenn Martens has made the opening of corsets the main accent of evening dresses. One of the special models in this collection is an extraterrestrial clothing that combines modern dance and madness. There are also more designers who have combined fashion inspired by modern dance with elements of a restrained shirt, a trend that is particularly striking in the Sportmax spring collection.

Designer Simone Rocha presented the shoes reminiscent of Puantus in the spring and summer collection, decorating them with pearls and ribbons, and &quot;lifting&quot; some of them on platforms decorated with baroque patterns. Variations of ballerina shoes are also offered this year by fashion houses Miu Miu , Jil Sander and Acne Studios . Chanel painted the ballets in bright colors this season , decorating the shoes with elegant enchantments that seem to hold fashionable dreams closer to the ground.
