      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Inspired by her Jamaican-British roots and her deep interest in London's underground music and cultures, <strong><a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/nike-martine-rose-collaboration-womens-collection-to-buy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Martine Rose</a></strong> is much more than one of the first designers to bring vintage-inspired <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/exploring-the-intersection-of-fashion-and-sport-at-the-museum-of-decorative-arts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sportswear</a> and tailoring to the catwalk. Mainly appreciated in the menswear scene with fans such as Kendrick Lamar and Justin Bieber, Martine has come to create more feminine collections and collaborate with <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/nike-martine-rose-collaboration-womens-collection-to-buy" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Nike</strong></a> for what is to date the most convincing reinterpretation of a historic model from the 90s, the Nike Shox. In the hands of Rose , this trainer launched in 2022 has elevated itself to a platform shoe, and is now a cult fashion accessory without gender distinction: "I don't like talking about genderless, it's an asexual word" he is keen to point out. Martine Rose 's unique aesthetic is informed by an investigation into proportions and silhouettes, surprising textures and constructions that hark back to the street, to those typical contexts of the London communities where the designer grew up. There is always a tension between attraction and resistance to the accepted codes of men's clothing: "I like to break the rules, and in men's clothing there have always been</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">a lot of those." Rose studied fashion at Middlesex University and launched his brand in 2007, at a time when, he says, &ldquo;no one was making men's clothing. Everyone said to me: &ldquo;What are you doing?&rdquo;&raquo;. The support was not lacking. <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dior-men-mens-show-summer-2024-collection-photo-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Kim Jones</strong></a> , creative director of Dior Homme and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/travel/fendi-collaborates-in-the-restoration-of-the-grotto-of-diana-at-tivoli-gardens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> , helped and encouraged her to continue. Just as <strong>Demna</strong>, creative director of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/key-takeaways-from-the-balenciaga-autumn-2024-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balenciaga</a>, Martine's mentor was fundamental after the designer was a creative consultant for the men's line between 2015 and 2018. Between 2017 and 2019 she was among the finalists of the LVMH prize and of the Andam Award, while in 2023 he was appointed as guest creative director of Clarks, before arriving in Florence for <strong>Pitti Uomo</strong> as <strong>guest designer</strong> of the January edition. Here the designer</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">placed emphasis on the theme of diversity and integration, a theme that has been dear to her since she was a child: instead of choosing professional models, 90% of the casting was done on the street, as happens for all her show.</span></p>
