An exhibition in the enchanting city of Venice, celebrating timeless art and craftsmanship techniques passed down through generations. Classical models of beauty are reinterpreted for our present times in this unique blend of exhibition and immersive experience.
Created and produced by Balich Wonder Studio and curated by Alba Cappellieri, this journey showcased Buccellati's creations, exploring themes and inspirations drawn from Italy&rsquo;s rich artistic heritage.

For those who want to appreciate the technical and aesthetic evolution of Buccellati over the last decade, the butterfly brooches are the ones to look at first. A 1950s model designed by founder Mario Buccellati - with its finely openwork gold wings, baroque pearls, diamonds and ruby eyes - will inspire the whole family: Gianmaria's model, designed in 1993, captures the love of colour of the 1970s and the generous opulence of the 1980s. Andrea's 1995 butterfly turns away from his father's baroque opulence while respecting tradition, with wings draped in tulle, adorned exclusively with diamonds, leaving no room for colour. Finally, the very recent butterfly - attributed to Lucrezia and her father - marks a more obvious change, through a sun motif, openwork edges, and a juxtaposition of baguette-cut diamonds on the wings and pear-cut diamonds on the body. Further in the retrospective, we find cigarette cases, handbags, powder compacts and other small boxes inspired by the complex architecture of the Renaissance. Another fad of the Buccellati style, the Cocktail rings: large and colorful, they gained popularity with Mario Buccellati in the 1930s , but it was with Gianmaria that they would become iconic a few decades later.
