British craftsmanship once again meets Italian imagination in the latest volume of Cole &amp; Son&#39;s partnership with Fornasetti. Here the fruits of nature are displayed in all their forms: shells, foliage, curious creatures and blue skies come together to revive our interiors and brighten up our daily lives.

The "Sole di Capri" print is a <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/design/extravagant-aesthetic-design-highlights-from-sternzeit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">design</a> created by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950s, imagined even before having visited the legendary island. In Foglie e scimmie, owls - the embodiment of wisdom - appear between the foliage. The Ortensie design is based on the abundant hydrangea bushes that grow in the garden that surrounds the Fornasetti house in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/white-resort-18-20-june-base-milan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Milan</a>. Vista Mediterranea takes us beyond the limits of the imagination, into an enchanted and hypnotic Jerusalem. Designed by Piero Fornasetti for the entrance hall of his Milanese residence at the end of the 1940s, this motif was later extended to trays, magazine racks, lamps and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/shop-for-designer-furniture-in-ibiza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">furniture.</a> The Cammei theme is dear to Fornasetti because it pays homage to classicism. It has been used in particular on tea cups, trays and screens, but also on table tops, so much so that several variations and colour combinations have been imagined over the years. Conchiglie recalls the walls of Piero Fornasetti's dining room at <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dior-unveils-its-high-jewellery-at-lac-de-come" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lake Como</a>, covered in shells, as does the delicate ceiling lamp made by Giulia, his wife. Finally, the most original of this cru remains Frutta e Geometrico : the trompe l'oeil effect accentuates the contrast between the rigorous geometry of the base and the organic shapes of the different fruits found in nature.
