Shannen Doherty had been suffering from cancer for some time and the bad news was officially shared by the publicist with a statement to People. &laquo;It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of Shannen Doherty. On Saturday 13 July he left us after many years of fighting the disease." Since 2015, the actress had said she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, a battle she has shared publicly to raise awareness of screenings, raise awareness and support others in the same situation.
