Actress Gwyneth Paltrow was a witness in a 2016 Utah ski accident trial in which she was accused of causing grievous injuries to Terry Sanderson.

Recently, actress <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/beauty/gwyneth-paltrow-tells-how-to-deal-with-aging" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gwyneth Paltrow</a> found herself testifying in a trial involving a 2016 Utah ski accident in a Park City courtroom. Paltrow was accused of causing a skiing accident with Terry Sanderson, a 76-year-old retired optician, while both were skiing a beginner slope at Deer Valley Resort, causing him several serious injuries and then abandoning him. The accident happened seven years ago. During the trial, the Goop founder said she was - on the day of the incident - with her two children, her current husband Brad Falchuk and her two children.
Testifying in court, Paltrow said the incident upset her at first and said she feared rape. She described the collision as a body pressing against her and a strange grunting noise, she stated her brain was trying to make sense of what was happening.

Sanderson filed a lawsuit in 2019, three years after the crash, claiming it left him with numerous injuries, including brain trauma, four broken ribs and emotional damage. He claimed Paltrow left him without giving her name or other information or calling 911. Later that year, Paltrow filed a counter-complaint alleging that Sanderson ran her over with his skis.
Originally, Sanderson was seeking $3.1 million in damages. In May 2022, however, the Third District judge dismissed some of her claims against Paltrow, ruling it was not a "skiing accident."
Sanderson said: "No one believed the seriousness of my injuries" and also stated that he could no longer ski due to his injuries. <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/lacoste-relaunches-the-preppy-dress-by-gwyneth-paltrow-in-the-tenenbaum-family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gwyneth Paltrow</a> 's lawyers plan to bring into play a number of medical experts who are expected to refute the testimony of neurologists, radiologists and psychologists hired by Sanderson's team. Furthermore, the same lawyers have argued that the lawsuit is an attempt by a man to exploit Paltrow's wealth and fame. On the other hand, Sanderson's lawyers have tried to paint Paltrow as a happy-go-lucky movie star who hurt an elderly man and who is unwilling to take responsibility for the consequences.
