Surrealism invades everyday life, bringing dimensions, illusions and avant-garde colors to change the perspective of the ordinary

<a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/schiaparelli-exhibition-mad-surrealism-art">Surrealism</a> is based on the subconscious and the irrational mind, playing with exaggerated dimensions and a certain playfulness and great artists used elements characteristic of this movement to illustrate its complexities. The Spanish <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/salvador-dali-cach-mang-hoa-the-gioi-bang-listen-thuat-ngong-cuong">Salvador Dal&iacute; </a>focused on the ideals of the movement when developing his works, which triggered his great partnership with the stylist Elsa Schiaparelli, responsible for uniting the universe of art and haute couture with mastery through surrealism and organic formats.
After a difficult period worldwide, everyone has their feelings on edge and ready to venture into the world of dreams, running away from reality and playing with magical and fantastic aspects. For this reason, current fashion is walking alongside surrealist designs, providing new experiences and full of visual stimuli after years of sober trends and straight cuts. This avant-garde inspiration came at the perfect moment, where everyone is looking for an escape from reality and immersion in the lysergic universe.

To explain more about the surrealist aspects of fashion, we invited stylist Paola Serra, owner of Le Bain Couture, a haute couture swimwear brand , to list the main characteristics inspired by the escape from reality. Check out:

The ruffles provide movement and volume to the production, ensuring implicit play and visual stimuli. Depending on where they are inserted, they can still represent optical illusions and surprising details in the piece.

Fluidity

A great feminine and surrealist representation, the fluidity works through organic and light forms, providing an abstract, fickle and sensual design, after all, the movement of the fabrics guarantees an aspect of a fantastic and surreal dream.

Color mix n&#39; match

The current moment calls for a more vibrant and diverse color palette, in order to bring touches of vivacity and joy in everyday life. The garments inspired by surrealism – as well as the movement itself – play with different tones, providing a certain playfulness and fantasy reality.

Surrealism works with textures and ribs. Therefore, nothing is more essential than pieces developed with details &nbsp; handmade , betting on unique finishes, items developed by hand for hours and full of curvilinear and feminine traits.

Necklines and cutouts can be a great way to play with the female body and how it presents itself. It is a way of bringing dynamism and sensuality to the piece, and can even represent an act of acceptance with the curves and textures of the body.
