      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>When a group of hippies arrived in the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/beauty/70s-hair-trends-shag-bangs-comeback" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1970s</a> and decided to stay, the local community mixed and opened a path of no return. The result is one of the most admired and desired destinations in the world. Trancoso's roots are deeply connected with nature, the vital importance of preserving the surroundings and valuing more conscious and sustainable tourism is a relentless struggle of the region's engaged dreamers. Trancoso is one of the few places in Brazil &ndash; perhaps the only one &ndash; that brings together natural exuberance, a strong community, beaches and rivers as far as the eye can see, a <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/travel/conrad-rabat-arzana-a-new-luxury-hotel-in-the-capital-of-the-kingdom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beautiful hotel</a> structure and a solid and consistent gastronomy. You can eat very well in Trancoso. In this iconic corner, traditional Bahian cuisine</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">mixes with African, indigenous, Portuguese and</span> <span>worldwide influences. The people who passed, passed and will pass through here leave traces and transform the most charming beach village in the country into a <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/food/recipe-from-elsewhere-la-manakiche-au-zaatar-to-tast-at-anytime" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gastronomic scene</a> that takes place from January to January. With many comings and goings to Trancoso in recent years, I created this itinerary of delicious places to eat.</span></p>

      <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>HOLY GRASS</strong></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>The family history of Sandra Marques and Fernando Leite is inspiring. Since they arrived in the village in 1981, they dedicate their time and energy to welcoming and serving people who chose Trancoso as their destination. Today this true Trancosense institution is run by the children with a love that overflows borders and a restaurant that fills up practically every night of the year.</span></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="letter-spacing: 0px;">UXUA</strong><br /><strong></strong></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Wilbert Das and Bob Shevlin's hotel dreams big when it comes to gastronomy. In recent years, they have invested in various projects such as Uxua Ro&ccedil;a, an 18-hectare agroforestry that serves as a backyard for the cooks. Whether at the beach bar or at the restaurant in the square, Uxua's food uses organic and sustainable ingredients, serves delicious dishes and always reminds us of communion with the surroundings. The recent arrival of chef Guilherme Gerard should yield some nice new additions to the menu, which follows a glocal line, a way of valuing the local aspect while embracing the world.</span></p>

      <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="letter-spacing: 0px;">SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST</strong><br /><span></span></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Chef Paulo Sitolini's little corner in the center of Trancoso is a delight. Here, he happily ferments an absolutely perfect pizza dough that goes into the oven topped with the best ingredients from the region. The result? A pizza that exceeds expectations. In the same place, at the same time, the young and talented chef has fun making burgers that reach the same level. A place to dine unpretentiously and always.</span></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="letter-spacing: 0px;">QUIET &amp; DIVINE</strong><br /><span></span></p>
      <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Neide, also known as Neidoca, has been taking care of the pans at Cala &amp; Divino for over ten years. The 44-year-old from Bahia started cooking very early with her mother Dona Duzinha and learned what no recipe teaches: the love of food. Going to Praia do Espelho and tasting the chef's food is simply a privilege. Octopus rice</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">is his favorite dish, but everything that comes warmly to the table is a must. It's an authentic experience of the Brazilian cuisine we love.</span></p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>TURTLES</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>The cliff scenery is impressive. Here, we are literally suspended by the beauty of the blue sea of southern Bahia. Spending the day at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/praiadastartarugas/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Praia das Tartarugas</a> involves a few dares: good cocktails and wines at the beach huts to start, well-seasoned food by chef Paulo Sitolini &ndash; mentioned above in S&atilde;o Jo&atilde;o Batista &ndash; to follow, a spectacular table overlooking the ocean, sounds of the wind, rest and relax by the sea.</span></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>FOREST</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Conceived by Fernando Droghetti, well known as Jacar&eacute;, Floresta is a restaurant that impresses with its beauty and cuisine. Dona Jandira is faithful to Brazilian country, farm and forest cuisine. Installed in the middle of an immense rubber plantation, the place is ideal for enjoying lunch in peace, without hurry, with good Brazilian music and a buffet</span> that <span>welcomes</span> <span>all tastes.</span></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>MARITACA</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Sitting at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maritacarestaurante/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maritaca's</a> tables is always a delight. Trancoso's traditional restaurant delights with its</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">airy, lively atmosphere and eclectic menu. Thin-crust pizzas are popular and delicious, but you might be surprised by other dishes as well. For over two decades, Maritaca has been a casual restaurant that</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">goes down well with friends.</span></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="letter-spacing: 0px;">JACA DO BRASIL</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">A good idea at the beginning or end of the night is to sit down at the Jacar&eacute; bar to have a cocktail prepared by Talita Sim&otilde;es &ndash; she's always on the lookout and around. The delicious sofas, the music and the whole set is unique and full of warmth. The restaurant located at the entrance to the Quadrado is full and busy, which is always a good sign for those who like to eat well.</span></p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Installed in the alley of the square in a charming little house, the Ginger Bar is a cool place to drink and eat too. There are very few places, when you arrive look for Ana who will know how to win over any cocktail lover and explain the menu of delicious foods with Asian influences.</span></p>
