The Regina Isabella was built in the 1950s by the publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli. In fact, in 1956, Rizzoli decided to expand the spa inside the ancient Greek-Roman ruins adjacent to the hotel and build a large hotel complex. Since then, in a very short time, this resort has become a point of reference in the world of cinema (and beyond). The resort is closely linked to worldliness and still hosts numerous events dedicated to culture, cinema and food and wine.
