A walking distance from the 10th century Castello di Casole , a Belmond hotel, the 2 private villas Thesan and Usil are named after the 2 Etruscan deities of the sun and the dawn. The first is more sophisticated, in a palette of yellow and ochre, the second is more informal, in a range of olive green, almond, ecru and hazelnut, the two 250 m2 structures are the ideal setting for a country holiday for families and small groups of friends. Furnished by Alessandro Moriconi, an Italian based in Paris, with collaborations with <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/jw-anderson-mens-show-spring-summer-2025-resort-2025-collection-photo-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JW Anderson</a> , Chlo&eacute; and Nina Ricci , who conceived them &ldquo;like a sequence of photos&rdquo;, a way of working that comes from his experience as a set designer, mixing his childhood memories in Tuscany with a passion for vintage and art deco design. It is no coincidence that among his references is Jacques Grange, with a style that is &ldquo; neither too heritage nor too contemporary&rdquo;. The furniture comes from antique shops in Arezzo and Florence, and from auctions, the fabrics are Dedar and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/loro-piana-2024-spring-summer-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loro Piana</a> . Old Tuscan ceramics mix with Ginori 's Oriente collection , everywhere there are vases full of fresh flowers, the floors are terracotta, on the exposed brick walls there are terracotta tiles with bas-reliefs, beautiful floral patterned carpets alternate with comfortable armchairs and white Smeg appliances, the wood of the tables, consoles, and sideboards is polished, " to give the idea of the wear and tear of time". The outdoor living area is equally well-kept, heralded by the unmistakable olfactory trail of aromatic herbs, lavender and rosemary, from which you can enjoy a wide horizon, almost an amphitheater of hills, which gives a good idea of a property of 1300 hectares of vineyards and olive groves. You eat (at the Castle or directly in the villa) a cuisine, from the garden to the table, tasty and basically healthy. If you choose the privacy of the villa, it is still worth a walk in the rose garden in front of the main building to admire over 6000 roses of about fifty varieties. Due to the absence of light pollution, Castello di Casole is also perfect for star gazing guided by experts.
