The Italian model has been the face of campaigns for designers such as Alexander McQueen, Fendi,&nbsp; Givenchy, Prada, Versace and Valentino, and is currently the ambassador of Chanel Beauty. She lives in the south of the island with her husband, the DJ and producer Matteo Milleri. The pair married in a simple ceremony at Es Cubells in June 2020.&nbsp;

In Ibiza there's a different&nbsp;feeling and pace of life and so when I'm here I'm able to completely&nbsp;switch off. I can just leave my phone&nbsp;somewhere, go to a cave with a&nbsp;kayak and&nbsp;forget about the outside world."

&nbsp;L&rsquo;OFFICIEL IBIZA: How did you discover the island? 
VITTORIA CERETTI: I came to Ibiza for the first time in 2016,&nbsp;with a friend of mine who didn't know much of the&nbsp; island. Then I came again with someone who lived here,&nbsp; and it was a completely different experience the second&nbsp; time around. They took me to all of the secret beaches&nbsp; and the beautiful hidden places that I hadn&rsquo;t discovered&nbsp; before. That&rsquo;s when I really saw the island and felt this&nbsp; connection to it. There was so much I didn&rsquo;t know about&nbsp; Ibiza. And then just before the pandemic, I came here&nbsp; with my husband, and that&rsquo;s when I moved here.&nbsp;
LOI: What does life in Ibiza look like for you?&nbsp;
VC: I love going to Cala Pluma, which is one of my&nbsp; favourite secluded spots. And my husband and I also&nbsp; love Aguas Blancas, where they have the best bocadillos.&nbsp; I&rsquo;m obsessed with that chiringuito. We also like visiting&nbsp; Benirr&aacute;s and taking kayaks to explore the coastline and&nbsp; the caves around there. And we love going to see Es&nbsp; Vedr&aacute;. This is an incredible island &ndash; there&rsquo;s so much to&nbsp; do here. Mostly we prefer to be in places where there&nbsp; aren&rsquo;t too many people, so we go on a lot of hikes in the north of the island. When we&rsquo;re staying in Ibiza we really&nbsp; love to separate from other people as much as we can, spending time by ourselves and connecting to nature.&nbsp;
LOI: Is that a good contrast with the rest of your life? You must&nbsp; spend a lot of time taking flights and being in busy urban environments.&nbsp;
VC: Absolutely. I spend a lot of time in airports, surrounded&nbsp; by people on the set and with lots happening around me&nbsp; backstage at a show. There&rsquo;s a lot of chaos in my life. I&rsquo;m&nbsp; usually very connected to my phone and I always have it&nbsp; on me. But in Ibiza there&rsquo;s a different feeling and pace of&nbsp; life and so when I&rsquo;m here I&rsquo;m able to completely switch&nbsp; off. I can just leave my phone somewhere, go to a cave with a kayak and forget about the outside world.
LOI: When you were growing up, were you living in a country&nbsp; environment or were you in the city?&nbsp;
VC: My parents have a house by Lake Garda, in northern&nbsp; Italy, so when I was growing up we used to go and spend&nbsp; three or four months there every year during the summer.&nbsp; And there I was very connected to nature. Obviously, I&nbsp; was younger, so I didn&rsquo;t have a phone back then either,&nbsp; so it was really a place to connect to the land. My cousin&nbsp; used to knock on my door to wake me up at 7am and we&nbsp; would go to do gardening and help a local lady with her&nbsp; chickens. At the end of the day, she used to give us some&nbsp; of the vegetables that she was growing to thank us for&nbsp; helping her. So, nature was something that I was always&nbsp; really close to and that was very important to me when I&nbsp; was growing up.&nbsp;
LOI: Ibiza seems to be increasingly full of young creatives who&nbsp; work in fashion, music and design. Why do you think they are&nbsp; drawn to the island?&nbsp;
VC: I think Ibiza has always been an island for creatives.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s a place where imaginative people have always liked&nbsp; to come and spend time, and where you&rsquo;re free to be a&nbsp; bit of an outsider. Designers were always connected to&nbsp; the music scene and I feel that now fashion and music&nbsp; are melting into each other too. These industries have become so much more connected than they used to be,&nbsp; especially in the last three or four years. My husband and I haven&rsquo;t collaborated on anything specific yet, but we&nbsp; definitely cross into each other&rsquo;s worlds. We enjoy that &ndash;&nbsp; it&rsquo;s natural for us to share the best parts of what we do.&nbsp;
LOI: Will you stay on the island for the whole summer, or do you&nbsp; have other plans?&nbsp;&nbsp;
VC: We usually move here in May and we stay for as long as&nbsp; we can. I have fashion shows in September, so I normally&nbsp; have to travel to New York and do that round trip. But&nbsp; after the shows have finished, we always try to come back&nbsp; here for a couple of weeks in October. October is one of my&nbsp; favourite months in Ibiza, as most other people are leaving&nbsp; then and there&rsquo;s a very tranquil feeling. The weather is still&nbsp; amazing too &ndash; even though it's starting to become wintry&nbsp; in many other parts of the world, here it&rsquo;s still warm. So, we always spend our summers here but maybe this year we'll stay longer. I want to grow old on this island! If I could take one thing from here with me when I travel, it would be the colour of the water in Formentera. I love it so much.
