        <p><span>Deconstruct standard stereotypes. This is one of the pillars that guide <strong>Vicenta Perrotta</strong> 's work in fashion. His sharp reasoning and his creative mind have sought alternatives for the segment to be more <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/adaptive-fashion-brands-accessibility-ability-inclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">inclusive</a>, more accessible, more collaborative. &ldquo;I understand that traditional fashion has flaws, such as the cisgender-patriarchal-European pattern and the mechanism of inaccessibility and exclusivity to create desire and feed consumerism,&rdquo; says Perrotta. &ldquo;When you see this problem, that only thin people or people with a lot of money have access to this fashion, we realize what is missing. There is no place in current fashion for transvestites, fat, black, PwD (disabled people), old... All bodies that are not read as standard, that are not represented, that are not seen as a body that can be bought clothes, to use a certain <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/asian-models-fashion-industry-heritage-month" target="_blank" rel="noopener">model</a>, are ignored by the industry&rdquo;, he adds.</span></p>

        <p><span>Attentive to the waste created by the fashion industry, with all the textile waste (remains of fabric, scraps, old clothes...), the artist and stylist found everything she needed for her creations there. &ldquo;I used garbage, which is read as something pejorative, and the transvestite's body, which is read as an abject and pejorative body, to develop my fashion and transform it into power&rdquo;, she says. Currently with two ateliers, <strong>TRANSmoras</strong> , in Campinas, in the interior of S&atilde;o Paulo, and ATM Lab, in S&atilde;o Paulo, Perrotta has been multiplying her knowledge and teaching her technique, which she calls textile transmutation, of transforming fashion waste into inclusive fashion, collaborative and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/how-to-bring-sustainable-living-into-everyday-life" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sustainable</a>.</span></p>
        <p><span>&ldquo;The moment I discovered and built fashion, and made a living out of waste, I understood that I couldn't keep it to myself. I had to pass it on, from trans to trans.&rdquo;</span></p>

All these people, all the bodies, come to be represented. Because who is the protagonist of traditional fashion today? It remains the European woman who, in the vast majority, has a tall and thin body. Fashion is a job. But the trans woman is not in that place. You don&#39;t see trans people working in the sewing industry, you don&#39;t see trans people working in shopping malls, in fashion magazines, walking on catwalks... Seeking to change this is activism. We are making a fashion that seeks to deconstruct</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">standard stereotypes. We are seeking to re-signify fashion, re-signifying this place of death to bring it to a living body, present in the environment. Because the environment isn&#39;t just the forest, it&#39;s the street, it&#39;s public places. For example, a transvestite made an outfit and sold it to a cisgender person. When you buy a garment from a transvestite who made the garment from waste, you are contributing to a network of people who are proposing another vision of consumption, another awareness of consumption. You can also use fashion as politics. How do transvestite deputies dress, what do they choose to wear? This can be a path of inclusion, you know? Janja herself, when she wore a community outfit, was setting this example. Fashion was born to be inclusive. To be used by all bodies.</span></p></div></div></div></div>
