"Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock 'n Roll' passed away peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in K&uuml;snacht near Zurich, Switzerland," her family said in a statement on Wednesday May 24, 2023. "With her, the world loses a music legend and a female role model."
Starting with her performances with ex-husband Ike, from whom she rebelled following domestic abuse, Tina has created a volcanic and uninhibited stage presence.
