The world of Canto-pop has seven new protagonists. Garie Shum (Gao), the leader. Sumling Li. Winka Chan . Ivy So, Rejena Simkhada (Day) and Marife Yau (Marf). They are COLLAR , a band formed in 2021 that debuted with the song “Call My Name!” the following year achieving enormous success, with over 70 thousand people following their live online broadcast. According to the group&#39;s leader, Gao, the name COLLAR has two meanings: it refers to the shirt collar, and indicates that a person cannot breathe when the collar is fastened, and it means that every performance can make the audience gasp . But it also refers to the collarbone, which is the most seductive part of the female body and defines COLLAR as the most attractive girl group on the Canto-pop scene.

Team spirit is fundamental for the band. Their motto is “there is no maximum, only a higher goal”. COLLAR was formed by ViuTV thanks to “King Maker IV”, the fourth season of the reality show that gave life to the Hong Kong boy band MIRROR in the first series, bringing together winners and excellent contestants chosen by the reality show. COLLAR entered the music scene in 2022, with the single “Call My Name!” and in May 2022, their first variety show “We Are Collar” was broadcast on ViuTV.

The name COLLAR indicates their desire to make the audience gasp, and also refers to women&#39;s cleavage. &nbsp;

The group has already earned widespread acclaim for its music and impeccable choreography. In addition to “Call My Name!”, COLLAR also released three other singles in 2022, “Never-never Land”, “Gotta Go!” and “Off/On”. In December 2022, they were awarded Best Newcomer Canto-Pop Group at the Yahoo Asia Multiverse Buzz Awards 2022, and later received various other accolades. In 2023, COLLAR released four more singles that dominated the charts and brought the group international fame thanks to the &quot;idc&quot; music video shot in Tokyo and performed at the Hong Kong International Music Festival &quot;Clockenflap&quot;.
