Venus has commanded a large portion of the spotlight this year, says astrology columnist Alicia Orre. The planet of love and money has been presenting us with situations to help us understand who and what is important and how we show up in our relationships.

While this is ultimately a great thing, tests and challenges can be painful and navigating them is not always fun or easy. <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/how-the-12-zodiac-signs-say-goodbye-in-relationships" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Relationships</a> are complex and often complicated whether they&rsquo;re with ourselves, family, friends, business or romantic partners. But what has money got to do with it?&nbsp;
Well, money and love are the same energy and are represented in astrology by the same planet, Venus. Because money (and our security) is rooted in our self-worth and value. I believe that our relationship with money is an important indicator of how much we value ourselves. This has nothing to do with how much we have, but our relationship with it.
The spotlight on relationships started when Venus stationed retrograde in Leo this summer from 23 July to 3 September&nbsp; - essentially staying in the sign for an extended period of 4 months from 6 June - 8 October - instead of the usual six weeks.
Typically, Venus in Leo brings out the courageous, most dramatic and romanticised parts in all of us. We are in the mood for decadence and indulging in the finer things, plus we are not afraid to be loud and proud with it. This is a yearly event every summer when the glamour dial is cranked up to 10.
This year however, we may have stumbled in our platform heels, or lost a few (maybe a lot) of sequins as we attempted to navigate the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/venus-retrograde-2023-relationships-zodiac-signs-horoscope" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Venus</a> backward spin. Relationships of all types suffered and faltered, and probably our finances too.
Right in the middle of this confusing backspin, on 18th July, the south node - representing our comfort zone - slid into the Venus ruled sign of Libra where it will stay until 11 Jan 2025. Yep. We&rsquo;re being put through relationship bootcamp to help us release some of the negative and unhealthy Libra coping mechanisms such as people pleasing, co-dependency, and keeping the peace at the detriment of our own needs. We&rsquo;ve become collectively reliant on others and this is all about to change.
Almost without skipping a beat, the Venus in Leo retrograde backed into the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/october-astrology-discovering-inner-harmony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">October</a> eclipses in the Venus ruled signs of Libra and Taurus. One eclipse marking the beginning of a new theme in our lives, with the other as a culmination of a closing theme. Depending on where the eclipses landed in your own personal astrology will determine what areas of life are most impacted for you. One thing is for sure, many of our relationships, our wants and how we relate is forever changed from how we felt five months ago.
This summer I&rsquo;ve witnessed shocking, painful break ups of friendships and partnerships. Plus, on the other end of the scale, romances blossom from long time acquaintances into full blown soulmate love. The relationships that have survived and thrived through this time have got &lsquo;long-haul&rsquo; status stamped through to their core. Congratulations if yours are among them!
This week, we see Venus ingress Libra, its home sign until 4 December. This is good news for beauty and art lovers everywhere because it means that for six weeks there's a vibe circling for making peace and patching up where things may have gone askew. Plus, we can integrate the lessons of the summer from a more balanced space of higher worth and integrity. What's more we&rsquo;ll all be feeling a little bit more secure financially. Be warned though; as Venus glides through her own home sign, we may experience some echoes of the eclipse events. Especially when she hits the eclipse point on 28 November.

Aries: The attracter planet is in your partnership zone. Things could be uplevelling with a significant person. If you&rsquo;re single, meeting someone with partnership potential will be front of mind.
Taurus: Your relationship with your mind, body and spirit takes centre stage as Venus steps through your sixth house of health and wellness. Get serious about manifesting that perfect bod, maybe with a fitness buddy.&nbsp;
Gemini: Woo, your personal magnetism is full beam as Venus sashays through your zone of self-expression and romance. Attract that special someone to create magic with.
Cancer: Home is where the heart is right now whether you&rsquo;re cosying up with a special someone or making your spot even more nurturing for whoever you&rsquo;re extending those intimate invites to.
Leo: Your local hangouts are where you&rsquo;ll find the most pleasure right now so dust off your shoulder pads and strut your stuff around town - see what good vibes you can attract there.
Virgo: The money planet is in your money zone. This is great news if you&rsquo;ve been feeling shortchanged recently. Things are about to improve, plus you have the potential to create even more wealth while Venus is here.
Libra: This is your time to shine, Libra! You&rsquo;ll be attracting plenty of attention now with opportunities galore no matter what you desire. Set your mind to it, open your big, beautiful heart and get ready to receive.
Scorpio: OO Scorpio, with Venus in your 12th house you&rsquo;ll be even more attracted to private trysts and clandestine connections despite it being only halfway through sexy Scorpio Season.
Sagittarius: Tap into and attract connections around the globe, either online or in person so that when your season comes around next, you&rsquo;re prepped and primed to adventure out into the world.
Capricorn: Venus is marching through your professional and social status zone, which means business connections and financial abundance are your juicy, low hanging fruit. Pick the best of what&rsquo;s on offer.
Aquarius: Personal expansion and new adventures are attracting your attention right now so plot your next move whether that&rsquo;s furthering your education or a winter escape to distant lands.
Pisces: There is always room to go deeper, Pisces, and with Venus in your zone of shared intimacy, how about exploring how far you can go and shedding another layer?
