Ibiza&rsquo;s contemporary art foundation will fuse art, culture and storytelling over two weekends.&nbsp;

Founded by Ibicenca creative and art director &Aacute;ngeles Ferragut, the Ses Dotze Naus Foundation encourages the creation and appreciation of contemporary art in Ibiza through residences, exhibitions and public programs. Launching today, the spring program uses the idea of the wind &ndash; an omnipresent element of the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/cecilia-renard-off-season-the-balearic-reveal-the-extent-of-their-savage-beauty" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balearic archipelago</a> - as a common thread to unite art, performance, conversation and workshops. Entitled Our Soul is Air, the program is inspired by the thousand-year history of Ibiza and the successive waves of occupation that have made this island one of the most culturally rich places on the planet.&nbsp;
Our Soul is Air takes place over two weekends. The first chapter, entitled&nbsp;Rumour of a Landscape, proposes the idea of ​​the wind as a generator, a beam of energy that disseminates words and seeds simultaneously, giving life to rituals and feeding diversity.&nbsp;It will focus on the island's natural resources, particularly working with local and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/nathalie-kelley-is-making-soil-sexy-again" target="_blank" rel="noopener">alternative farming</a> systems, as we look at contemporary artists who draw inspiration from natural elements to create their work. The program includes a conversation between&nbsp;artist Lara Flux&agrave; and gallerist Guillermo Romero Parra, in which the creator will explain her artistic practice and her work with blown glass for the <a href="https://www.labiennale.org/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Venice Biennale</a>.

Later, a family workshop with&nbsp;Fernando Garc&iacute;a-Dory will address today's rural issues through various modules such as food, ecosystem and farming techniques. Using art, role play and interviews, participants will seek out a better understanding of problems and possibilities, so that future generations are sensitive to the moment of change in which we find ourselves.&nbsp;Guests - including regenerative agriculturalist Jessica Dunlop - will share stories, imagery and anecdotes to provide a unique approach to local rural life.
The program will take place on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and afternoon at La Carpinter&iacute;a, the production, exhibition and meeting space for Ses Dotze Naus in Can Bufi.
The program will continue on May 5 and 6 with the celebration of Chapter II - A Real Utopia. Schedule to be announced soon.
