Some muses pose. Others move. Yaz does both - and more.

With a name that means &ldquo;summer&rdquo; in Turkish, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/yazyuceil?igsh=Nm04cDI5aWM5bzN1">Yaz</a> carries light wherever he goes. There&rsquo;s something cinematic in his presence: part coastal dream, part living postcard. Based in Rome but born of Aegean waters, he speaks in visuals, melodies and moods. His first encounter with Ibiza came not through a holiday or a headline, but through a creative calling - the shoot for Mirage, a music video collaboration with Turkish-born, Ibiza-based producer <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/my-island-cumhur-jay-turkish-ibiza-based-dj">Cumhur Jay.</a>
What he expected was extravagance. What he found was humility. &ldquo;It was so relaxed,&rdquo; he says, still surprised. &ldquo;I felt at home - in the Mediterranean, in myself.&rdquo; That first visit ignited something deeper: not just an aesthetic infatuation, but a reconnection. &ldquo;Ibiza pushed me to create music,&rdquo; he explains. &ldquo;It reminded me that I&rsquo;m definitely a southern boy who loves the sea.&rdquo;

I felt at home - in the Mediterranean, in myself.

That same sensibility - tender, fluid, free - spills into the visual universe surrounding Mirage. The imagery, crafted in close collaboration with photographer <a href="https://www.instagram.com/finnlohanlon?igsh=MXFoeGtyZDVjanp1bA%3D%3D">Finn Lohanlon</a>, doesn&rsquo;t just accompany the project: it expands it. Finn&rsquo;s lens captures Ibiza through a different register - soft, luminous, almost archival in texture. His work feels transported from another era, like frames from an unfinished film rediscovered in a sun-bleached drawer.

Together, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/yazyuceil?igsh=Nm04cDI5aWM5bzN1">Yaz</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/finnlohanlon?igsh=MXFoeGtyZDVjanp1bA%3D%3D">Finn</a> build more than content &mdash; they compose a mood. One that blurs fiction and memory, heat and hush. &ldquo;The magic is real,&rdquo; Yaz says. &ldquo;If you listen, it will reveal itself.&rdquo; From the cliffs of Sant Agn&egrave;s de Corona to the wind-whipped pines of the interior, this island becomes both subject and stage.

Yaz has returned to record part of his new EP at Can Jay Studios, where the island&rsquo;s stillness meets frequency, and lyrics hang in the salt air. But it&rsquo;s not just music. Yaz composes feelings: the taste of sweet sangria, the smell of spring flowers, the rush of pine trees while driving through the woods with the top down.
He says Ibiza didn&rsquo;t teach him anything new - instead, it confirmed everything he intuitively knew. That warmth, simplicity and creativity are enough. That belonging isn&rsquo;t always something you search for. Sometimes it greets you quietly.

And when he leaves, it lingers - in his music, in Finn&rsquo;s images and in the soft myth of Mirage, a love letter written in chorus and light.
