You may not have heard of Eclipse Season but you'll definitely have felt it, says L&rsquo;OFFICIEL IBIZA&rsquo;s resident astrologer Alicia Orre.

Solar <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/how-to-navigate-the-end-of-the-eclipse-corridor-in-ibiza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">eclipses</a> are not only incredible sights to behold, but along with lunar eclipses they are powerful portals of disruption. Typically, there are four eclipses each year when the usual and constant energetic exchange between the sun, moon and earth is momentarily altered.&nbsp;Either by the moon passing between the earth and sun (solar eclipse at full moon) or the moon moving into the earth&rsquo;s shadow (lunar eclipse at new moon).
They come in pairs twice a year: one solar and one lunar eclipse two weeks apart. This is known as eclipse season.
The life altering events that take place during the eclipses are sometimes expected and planned for, like weddings, births and house moves. They can also be completely unexpected and shocking.
They are also permanent. Life is never the same post eclipse season, whether you realise it or not.
Astrologically, they usually take place across two opposing constellations (or <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/what-does-the-autumn-harvest-full-moon-bring-for-the-zodiac-signs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">zodiac signs</a>) but because of the huge energetic disconnection between these giant spheres of energy, everyone feels it to some degree.
They are times of intense pressure and &lsquo;busyness&rsquo;. Having consciously worked with eclipse energy since 2018, I witness life speeding up and getting more chaotic for everybody around, myself included. There is an increase of
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">relationship repairs and ruptures with friends, lovers, families, business partners</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">professional and career changes</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">relocations and house moves</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">deaths, births, marriages and divorces</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">personal uplevels and demises</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">adulterous affairs, break ups, new relationships and engagements</li>
</ul>
I&rsquo;ve witnessed (or experienced) them all.
The season swirls us up as if into a cyclone and plonks us down on a different path than the one we were treading before. Eclipses shove us to the edges of our comfort zone and onto a new trajectory. This can be unsettling, even downright shocking and destabilizing if you aren&rsquo;t aware when these cosmic events are taking place.
<a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/mercury-retrograde-in-virgo-the-survival-secret-for-12-constellations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mercury Retrograde</a> has nothing on eclipse season. They are the ultimate &lsquo;WTAF is going on?!&rsquo; bi-annual cosmic event.&nbsp;
Eclipses repeat in the same zodiac signs over an 18-month time frame slowly (and sometimes quickly) re-ordering a particular area of our lives (depending on where they land in our personal astrological wheel). By tracking them (like I do for myself and my clients) we can understand the personal life themes affected and prepare ourselves so that they are a beneficial and fortunate experience.
I&rsquo;ve personally used them to cut self-sabotaging habits like smoking, out of control partying, toxic relationship dynamics, poor boundaries and generally living a low vibe existence. Now, I optimize them to catapult me into my desired business opportunities, higher income streams, better health and higher self-worth. Ultimately, assisting me towards a more authentic and purposeful life. 
They are my superspeed gateway to manifesting more of what I desire.

What you need to know for this incoming eclipse season
As a collective, the current eclipse themes across the Aries/Libra axis are guiding us towards healthier <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/venus-retrograde-2023-relationships-zodiac-signs-horoscope" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relationships</a>. Helping us to release the unhelpful habits of people pleasing, co-dependency, indecisiveness and superficiality. While leaning into our independence, self-confidence, courage and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/10-affirmations-that-will-change-your-energy-positively" target="_blank" rel="noopener">self-expression</a>.
Basically, we are learning to trust ourselves more deeply and put our needs first.
The eclipse energy is beginning to build now and will be felt most strongly between the Libra New Moon on October 14th, and the Taurus Full Moon on October 28th. It will then wane with some potential aftershocks until the New Moon in mid-November.
Energy does not follow the Gregorian timeline. This means that you may not notice anything monumental happen on the eclipse dates or the two-week window in between, even though this is when the eclipse energy is at its strongest. Events can happen now, right through to November.
Actually, you may not notice anything at all! Sometimes we experience an internal shift that is only obvious after the fact. Which is why it&rsquo;s important to pay attention, make a note of anything your intuition guides you to, and circle back at a later date. I can guarantee that there will be a continuation of whatever shift took place (whether internal or external) during the following eclipse season in March / April next year.
If we are dialled into our intuition and are completely honest with ourselves, we will already know what is changing or what needs to change. Our ego self may not want to let go. However, resisting or trying to control what is unfolding will only make things more challenging. We are no match for the hugely powerful altered energies being presented by the sun and moon, but we can work with it, and that is how we benefit most.
The best advice I can offer is this:

 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Surrender and trust that everything is working out to your advantage (even if it&rsquo;s scary AF!)</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Decide what is not working for you now and begin taking steps to remove it with the assistance of the eclipses.</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Double down on self-care practices - basking in the beautiful Ibiza countryside, breathwork, moving your body, eating wholesome healthy food, getting lots of sleep.</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Let dust settle before making any big life changing decisions - into November or after.</li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Have patience with yourself and everybody else. We are all navigating big shifts at this time.</li>
