Get ready because on Friday 21st June, not only does it mark Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere - the longest day of the year, it is also the start of Cancer Season and the halfway point of 2024 (What?! I know&hellip; it feels like we&rsquo;re only just getting started yet here we are, six months into the year already).

Plus we have a big strawberry Full Moon in the sign of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/2024-astrology-what-2024-has-in-store-for-each-zodiac-sign" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Capricorn</a>.

If you&rsquo;re in Ibiza and have a chance to see the Full Moon rise on Friday, prepare for something extra special as it will be a beautiful giant pink ball - a reflection of the setting sun&rsquo;s glow.

What is extra, extra special about this <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/sagittarius-full-moon-may-2024-astrology-alicia-orre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Full Moon</a> is that it&rsquo;s the first of two Full Moons in the sign of Capricorn, the second, trickier one will be a month later.

Each year, we have 13 lunar cycles, 28 days in length. This means each year we have two Full Moons in one sign one month apart. The first one is at the early degrees on a constellation, so it has a lighter feel to it. The second is in the late degrees of the sign, where the energy is more powerful and intensified.

This year it&rsquo;s the turn of Capricorn to have the double.

The moon is not well placed in Capricorn. It&rsquo;s the most detrimental <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/june-2024-astrology-how-each-zodiac-sign-can-make-the-most-of-gemini-season" target="_blank" rel="noopener">zodiac sign</a> for a Full Moon because it restricts and depresses our emotions.

I&rsquo;m not going to lie, the July Full Moon in Capricorn is the one I&rsquo;m anticipating to be pretty rough and I&rsquo;ll explain why in a later article.

The good thing is that we have a chance now to prepare for that and make it a bit easier on us with the first Capricorn Full Moon.

Here's what you need to know.

Firstly, Full Moons are a time in the lunar cycle of revelations and culminations. Astrologically the moon represents our emotions and unconscious drives. Our unconscious is where our shadow behaviours lie. These are parts of ourselves that we can&rsquo;t see, do not recognise in ourselves, then project onto others. Yes, it&rsquo;s all the dark, messy stuff.

When the moon is full, the sun is directly opposite and exposes the full face of the moon in its reflection. With the moon&rsquo;s energy at its strongest it seems to pull our deepest emotions to the surface, causing us discomfort as we prefer to stuff the messier emotions down out of sight. In the full light of the moon we are presented with new awarenesses about our true feelings. Either as a shift or an understanding from within (like a lightbulb moment), or we are presented with news that creates this new awareness.

The moon also represents the public in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/how-to-plan-your-week-according-to-astrology-alicia-orre-ibiza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">astrology</a>, so despite all the potential emotional challenges, it can be an opportune time to present news or launch something into the public. In its most positive light the Full Moon is a time to celebrate and share YOUR news with the world.

Capricorn is the sign that means business. It is ruled by the karmic planet of time and mastery, Saturn. This means that the rulership of this Full Moon is also Saturn so we have to take into consideration what transiting Saturn is up to during this lunar phase.

Saturn gets a bad rep because its energy restricts and holds back what we want to have, or do. Being the planet of mastery, it doesn&rsquo;t allow any shortcuts. To master anything in life takes dedication, time, accountability and responsibility. This is Saturn&rsquo;s domain. Saturn will restrict and hold back what you believe you want in order to help you make the right choices.

`How much do you really want it, and what are you prepared to do to get it?&rsquo; Saturn will ask, by blocking the straight pathway to our desires with obstacles and restrictions causing frustration and despondency. Unless we do the right thing by Saturn.

The way to master Saturn is to do what it expects of you. Get in line, get our sh*t together, and take responsibility. When we do, Saturn rewards us with our bounty.

So, with this first Full Moon in Capricorn, it is a time to be honest with ourselves and recognise where we have not yet mastered aspects of our selves or lives, then take aligned action to rectify that. What that is for you may be obvious yet. If not, it will become more clear over the coming weeks. Where transiting Saturn is aspecting in your natal astrology, and your natal Saturn placement will also reveal what needs to be dealt with.

Trust me, it will be far easier to access this now and act on what needs to be done before Saturn stations retrograde at the end of the month just before the next Capricorn Full Moon. This will make it more challenging to find the motivation and drive to take action

My advice is not to ignore it, otherwise the second Capricorn Full Moon in July will hit much harder.
