Supreme and MM6 Margiela: the 2024 collaboration
The collab is available starting March 28th and is expected to bring the streetwear brand Supreme back to the hype of the past.
Finally, Supreme has officially revealed its collaboration with MM6 Maison Margiela after months of online speculation. The Supreme x MM6 Maison Margiela collaboration is a perfect fusion of two worlds that are only apparently very distant and is a celebration of the creativity of the anonymous collective that presides over the creative direction of MM6, respecting the iconic origins of the Margiela brand since its foundation. For example, what might look like a classic Supreme logo collaborative tank is actually a double-ended vest designed to be worn multiple ways. A faux fur coat, a patched teddy jacket, a skate deck, a bike lock and what appears to be a wig, presumably a reference to the Bless wigs used in many Martin Margiela shows (i.e. the era below the creative direction of the designer Martin Margiela maison), together with a series of more sober pieces such as black and white three-piece suits and a casual suit in ice-coloured leather consisting of a sweatshirt and baggy trousers.
Lending its logo to house Margiela's MM6 line, Supreme continues to expand its wide range of collaborations with high-fashion partners. In the past, Supreme has collaborated with brands such as Louis Vuitton , Comme des Garçons and others. The previously teased co-branded label featuring the MM6 designation alongside the Supreme logo, is seen as an added label on each of the collaborative pieces.
