Through precious gems, hand-painted pieces, and expert embroidery, Louis Vuitton explores the roots of the American West in its Men's Autumn/Winter 2024 collection.&nbsp;

As a house with travel, exploration, and expansion at its core, <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/hommes/celebrities-at-the-louis-vuitton-men-autumn-winter-2024-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a> takes on the American West with its latest <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/hommes/gucci-mens-autumn-winter-2024-milan-fashion-week-sabato-de-sarno-debut-collection-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">menswear</a> collection, paying homage to the origins of workwear and craftsmanship techniques through the iconic&nbsp;savoir-faire of the brand.&nbsp;
Closing out the first day of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/mens-fashion-week-paris-the-shows-timetable" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris Fashion Week</a>, Pharrell Williams presented his third menswear show for Louis Vuitton at the Jardin d'Acclimatation, where inside the venue, a reflective, metallic house stood in the center of the stage. The scene was set with projected atmospheric backgrounds of rolling canyons and valleys, rocky mountain ranges, and dry plains at sunset, illuminating the darkened venue in deep shades of oranges, reds, and pinks. Within an instant, the sunset hues dissipated, transitioning into daytime lighting, reflecting the searing sun and unrelenting heat characteristic of the American West. Models streamed out of the house, walking the runway in workwear intrinsic to the American Western wardrobe, pieces laden with cowboy iconography, and looks designed in collaboration with Native American artists&mdash;with work including accessories by artists hailing from the Dakota and Lakota nations, and headed by the creative director Dee Jay Two Bears of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-future-of-denim-5-trendsetting-looks-for-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Denim</a>, blanket coats, and work boots were all at the center of the collection, with classic workwear silhouettes and cowboy shirts elevated and transformed through Louis Vuitton's exceptional tailoring techniques. The work boots, created in collaboration with the iconic American brand Timberland, represent an interpretation of the classic American style of work boots through the lens of Louis Vuitton, resulting in ten shoe designs that are rich in the cultural influences of both brands and masterfully crafted, with eyelets and tongue pendants featuring the Louis Vuitton monogram in luxurious gold.
Through sharply tailored suits, thoughtful juxtapositions of soft <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/harry-lambert-zara-fashion-line-collaboration-cutie-chaos-harry-styles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suede</a> and lustrous leather, starch-stiffened denim, and subtle shearling trims, the Autumn/Winter 2024 menswear collection explored the American West primarily through texture, even down to the smallest of details. Many looks presented on the Louis Vuitton runway incorporated layers of clothing, including crisp white button-downs&mdash;usually adorned with classic bolo ties&mdash;fringed leather coats, denim utilized in every way imaginable, oversized wool and fur coats, and leather on leather&mdash;all presented in a color palette reminiscent of the American West landscape itself, drawing from rich, warm brown and orange tones, also accompanied by stark white and black looks.&nbsp;
Also spotted on the runway were several new takes on classic Louis Vuitton bags. The iconic <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-speedy-louis-vuitton-pharrell-williams-designer-bags" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Speedy</a> bag was featured, but this season, with a fresh, new twist. Created in collaboration with artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations, these bags, including the messenger style and travel tote, were hand-embroidered with the Dakota flower, symbolizing the beautiful roots of nature. Keepall bags were hand-painted with the three-parfleche motif and the Topa design, which signifies the four winds of the Earth.&nbsp;
Drawing inspiration from Pharell's native rural Virginia and the classic cowboy iconography of the American West, Louis Vuitton presented a collection characterized by the attention paid to even the smallest of details. With pieces featuring embroidered botanical patterns and classic, swirling paisley motifs, turquoise beading, and hand-painted details, styles traditionally worn outdoors, meant to withstand natural conditions like wind, weather, and intense sun, were enriched by lush artistic details, toying with the idea of the American Dandy, as described in the show notes, and combining it with Louis Vuitton's rich ornamental roots as a longstanding French luxury fashion house, essentially meshing the creative director's own background and inspiration with that of Louis Vuitton.&nbsp;
