In June he was chosen as Fendi 's first global ambassador for men's fashion, when the brand launched its global campaign for autumn winter 2023 . Almost like a new <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/a-complete-rundown-of-every-live-action-disney-princess-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ariel from "The Little Mermaid"</a> , "he always wanted to be part of that world". For Galitzine it was about finding an entry into fashion that made sense, without risking detracting from his acting career. Before the advent of social media the idea of ​​doing a large-scale fashion campaign with an actor still seemed like a novelty, but nowadays you can see an actor flaunting any brand or product on their Instagram page. &laquo;Sometimes it can negatively impact an actor's career to see him on the market too much&raquo; , says Galitzine, who wants to be identified by the public primarily as an actor. He's already played a prince (twice!), a marine, and a dumb jock. Soon, alongside <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/anne-hathaway-reveals-her-biggest-influence-for-her-new-fashion-era" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anne Hathaway</a> , he will be the singer of the hottest boy band on the planet. &ldquo;I think if celebrity replaces acting, then it's a problem... people stop seeing the roles you're playing, and they just see a brand. All the actors I've admired over the years - people who are now in their prime - are incredibly careful about what they choose to associate themselves with." See Vincent Cassel , James McAvoy , Jake Gyllenhaal , Joaquin Phoenix , River Phoenix . Or even &laquo; Cillian Murphy , who is not very present in today's fashion world, and also someone like Paul Newman : a fashion icon in many ways, but taken very seriously - who would have dreamed of doing the opposite? - as an actor and protagonist&raquo; , says Galitzine . After all, Cillian Murphy has recently done advertising campaigns for <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/hommes/marco-tomasetta-writes-a-new-chapter-of-montblanc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Montblanc</a> and Stella Mc-Cartney , but most associate the actor with his acclaimed film work. Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet has a friendship and working relationship with the French designer Haider Ackermann , Paul Mescal with Gucci and Austin Butler with Saint Laurent . &laquo; Austin Butler 's whole aesthetic is very YSL . I think I always thought that was the way I wanted to go in the industry. I hope to replicate this approach and find my own path in the fashion industry" , he says.

Born in London , Nicholas Galitzine was not influenced by his hometown in his interest in fashion, nor in his personal style. &ldquo;It seems to me that London can be very monochrome, because the climate is gray and flat, as they say in English, for much of the year,&rdquo; he says. &laquo;I come from a multicultural background. I'm Greek, Russian, English and there's also a bit of French in me. My father, on the other hand, despite being a mix of cultures, feels very British... he always wears impeccable clothes. I don't particularly like the English style, but I think it is accompanied by an elegance that really attracts me. Overly traditional pieces aren't that exciting, but variations on a theme can be really, really intriguing. So I never want to limit myself to a single aesthetic or a single look, and I think this is also in line with the fact that I am an actor and I have to constantly change point of view." Galitzine 's style tends to vary from classics to streetwear, but it also depends on where he lives. As for where he considers home, he explains, &ldquo;It's hard to say if I'm based in London, because while I just lived there for eight months, I did four projects in a row without a break, and the first was in New Orleans; then I went back to London, then to Atlanta, and then back to London. So I really feel like a citizen of the world right now." The actor is considering moving to the United States, but has not yet identified the right time to do so. When I ask him to weigh in on the age-old question of which city is more livable between Los Angeles and New York , he says Los Angeles might have the edge, if only for the beaches. &laquo;I think I am very attached to my Greek origins. In many ways I feel more Greek than English, so being on the beach in Los Angeles nourishes me creatively and mentally. I mean, culturally, every time I'm in New York, I feel like there's an electricity. I know it may seem clich&eacute;, but my mother moved around a lot as a child; she was born in Lagos, Nigeria, then moved to Greece, and finally to New York. But he spent a lot of time in the Big Apple and my uncle grew up and spent most of his life there too. I feel very comfortable when I'm there. And that's a long way of saying I don't really know. It amuses me that you're assuming I say Los Angeles or New York, but I worked in Albuquerque and had a great time. I think the advantage of this job is that I can be extremely nomadic and don't have to settle anywhere. It's hard to stay fixed somewhere, because as soon as you decide to put down roots, you end up with another job in Albuquerque, New Orleans or elsewhere. I know a lot of East Coasters who say they want to spend their twenties in New York, have fun, go out, and then find somewhere else to settle. So who knows? I mean, I'm nearing the end of my twenties, so maybe I need to retire to a cabin in Montana or something."

However, if there's one thing wrong with being a globe trotter, it's that it doesn't leave much time for a private life. &laquo;It's definitely difficult. I mean, with my last two girlfriends we separated mainly because of travel. The people who work in this industry understand this; but work certainly doesn't foster relationships. And even with my family, it's really hard for them not to be able to see me as much as they would like, because they're constantly in different countries. I believe you discover who the people you really connect with are; I am one who strives to connect with others. Even if I'm on the other side of the world, if I'm interested in someone, I find the time necessary to be present." Meanwhile, Galitzine enjoys having &ldquo;incredible adventures&rdquo; around the world. &laquo;I know I can go to Los Angeles, London, New York, Dublin, New Zealand and Toronto, and meet up with friends. I admire couples who work in the industry and who manage to make relationships work, to support them and nourish them despite the transience of everything. I'm young and I'm having a lot of fun. The job has been great for me, and I'm just trying to soak it all in and not put too much pressure on myself." Thankfully, the actor has had exceptional mentors thus far, including Uma Thurman , Julianne Moore , and Anne Hathaway . &ldquo;I would say Julie was definitely a helpful resource; It's so light and lively. And above all willing to have the right patience to teach." When asked if it's true that Moore asks people to call her Julie, he replies, "Yes, I called her Julie or Julianne. We think of many of these people with both their names. Some sort of abstract and dehumanized entities... but beyond this she was really helpful and gave me excellent advice." With Anne Hathaway , or "Annie", as he calls her &laquo;we became close, and I think you should never assume that you will become friends with the people you work with. Especially when you do this job for years, it's hard to make human connections and then leave them behind... but Annie, she's been through it all. She's incredibly talented and I was in awe of watching her and seeing how she's able to access the deepest emotional parts of herself, but she's also very sensitive and very intelligent and a "nerd" in the best sense of the word. I'm just a young actor trying to make his way. I've been incredibly lucky to work with immensely talented people, and kind ones at that."
