If there&#39;s any basis for believing in Jonathan Anderson&#39;s vision, then at the recent Prada Fall/Winter 2026 Menswear show, Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada hinted at the return of form-fitting styles, including long coats. They might be right, but for that to truly happen, it will likely require more collections with a similar perspective released between now and the end of 2026; otherwise, it will simply be a &quot;show-off&quot; by Jonathan Anderson in an attempt to create his own identity during his stressful years at Dior Men in the post-Kim Jones era.

Immediately after the show ended, much debate erupted over whether it was "unconventional" or "out of sync" with the tailoring spirit that previous generations of Dior Men designers had strived to uphold and develop. The criticism even escalated to calls for Jonathan Anderson to step down as Creative Director of the French fashion house.
