Models walked the runway wearing colorful coats in multicolored check fabric in shades of yellow and pink, layered over checked shirts in pastel shades. This version modernizes the check thanks to unexpected styling juxtapositions.

In his Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show , Alessandro Sartori of Zegna presents wool suits with a dense, structured houndstooth pattern over a check. The outfit consists of a regular-fit shirt and wide, high-waisted trousers, paired with a hand-worn outerwear piece.

When talking about checks, it's impossible not to think of Louis Vuitton 's Damier. Interpreted by Pharrell Williams since his arrival as creative director of the men's line, Louis Vuitton's famous checkered pattern becomes a tone-on-tone pink jacquard in the Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collection.

But the check for fall 2025 is also expressed in Anthony Vaccarello&#39;s show for Saint Laurent, in its most timeless and classic version, with a green and blue tartan blazer. In the men&#39;s show, the tailored jacket is paired with a pared-down purple turtleneck and black leather trousers with matching thigh-high boots.

A riot of checks was also seen at the Setchu show presented during <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/fashion-week/sfilata-setchu-pitti-uomo-107-collezione-autunno-inverno-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pitti Uomo.</a> The model wore an asymmetrical, charcoal-colored coat with white checks, layered over a denim vest and paired with an asymmetrical culotte and shiny black boots.

Checks are continuing to be a trend in men's fashion, thanks in part to Willy Chavarria. The Mexican designer paired a classic, oversized black blazer with a striped shirt and blue and white checkered trousers. Chavarria is enjoying great success for his ability to combine cultural identity and social messages with a unique and recognisable language.

Twins Dean and Dan Caten also offer check versions with Canadian-style plaid "lumberjack" shirts.
