"Fashion is a dialogue between clothes and the people who wear them. At the center of it all are the models. Clothes frame the face, the most important thing. Intoxicating. The show starts with black, the best color for summer. Tailored pieces in neon yellow pinstripes, paired with silk twill scarves. The "Britishness", the codes of the maison, fragments of memories. Our Sunday dress and Monday shirt, the Long Mirror Dress in rust d&eacute;grad&eacute;, just as they have been worn for decades."

The Spring Summer 2025 collection that officially closed Shanghai Fashion Week also brought Vivienne Westwood&rsquo;s British tailoring to the catwalk, in cropped and oversized versions, pinstripes or salmon and blue &ldquo;checkered tablecloth&rdquo; prints, worn with knitwear garments dyed with plant and organic colours. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">We took photos of small random ceramics and then printed them using the screening technique, enlarging them on t-shirts. And again, Vivienne&rsquo;s checked denim is paired with washed denim. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">The result is a celebration of the fusion between tradition and innovation. A collection that - while looking to the past - embraces the future with the boldness and creativity of Westwood. A memorable closing for a fashion week that highlighted the brand's ability to remain true to its roots (at least in intention), but always ready to reinvent itself.
