We have made a generic recap with 10 women's fashion trends that emerged from the fashion weeks of New York, London, Milan, Paris.

EDGY LEATHER

Leather garments will remain a wardrobe must-have for the autumn-winter 2023-24 season, but with new interpretations. From Bottega Veneta the director Matthieu Blazy proposes an ostrich leather trench coat, Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga a coat with burgundy python extra-shoulder, while at Louis Vuitton Nicolas Ghesquière structures a suit entirely in padded leather.

FLUCTUATING MARABOU

Stylists and creative directors brought a triumph of marabou feathers to the catwalk, which continue to be a women's fashion trend for next winter as well. Fluttering and ultra-glamorous accents that are inserted in the collections of Coperni, Dolce & Gabbana , Chanel and Valentino with floating feathers triggered in mini-dresses, coats and shirts.

EYES ON DECOR

During the women's fashion weeks, stylists and creative directors also paid attention to decorum. Very fine embroideries, ornamental decorations, creative applications and frills that enrich the garments of the fall winter 2023-24 women's fashion collections. From the bows by Simone Rocha and the swarovski crystals by Valentino up to the extremely refined embroideries by Dries Van Noten , and the floral applications by Prada and Chanel .

FOCUS ON VOLUME

There also continues to be a big focus on silhouettes . The woman's body is emphasized by new volumes and three-dimensional shapes that rethink the design of all-round garments. From the voluminous dresses by Simone Rocha presented during London Fashion Week, the sculptural dresses designed by the Gucci studio and the outerwear by Undercover and Louis Vuitton that overturn the woman's figure.

OVER PRINTED

All-over prints have also positioned themselves among the main trends and women's fashion trends of the autumn-winter 2023-24 season . State-of-the-art graphics that become figurative and invade the clothes respecting the inspiration of the collection. Of course, there's no shortage of sophisticated botanical patterns by Dries Van Noten , Marco De Vincenzo's almost minimal interpretation of Etro 's Paisley , Dior 's blurry floral print and Glenn Martens' censorship-defying photographic collage version at Y/Project.

MONOCHROME

If they are not prints they are monochromatic looks. At the fashion shows presented during the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, we saw many looks made with a single color. Therefore solid color for Valentino , Ferragamo and Givenchy who propose a minimal elegance rigorously tone on tone.

FURRY AESTHETIC

Warm, soft and enveloping. There is no winter in which stylists and creative directors with women's fashion shows don't bring out the fur . It doesn't matter if real, upcycled or synthetic , the designers have proposed their version of the fur coat. From the eco-furs of the pioneer of green ethics Stella McCartney, to the red furs of MSGM and Ferragamo , the versions of Gucci and the animalier version of Bottega Venet clearly inspired by Cruella De Vil.

LIVE, LONG, LEGS

Even if the winter wardrobe includes warmer and more opaque clothing, the fashion shows that took place during the women's fashion weeks have undermined this cliché. Out of the legs with culottes covered with crystals and applications in the case of Miu Miu but also micro shorts designed by the creative director of Ferragamo Maximilian Davis. Vivienne Westwood 's version is more cheeky with the Andreas Kronthaler collection and lingerie in sight for the daring Dolce & Gabbana woman.

NEW KNITWEAR

Winter calls knitwear , but this time in the women's collections there have been innovative processes, creative interpretations and creations with unexpected yarns. At Miu Miu the collection was filled with minimal knit cardigans, some of these made with very light yarns that give transparency to the look. Bottega Veneta instead focuses on three-dimensional workmanship such as the 'scaled' one created for pullovers, while at Acne Studios the creative director Jonny Johansson creates crumpled cut-out maxi dresses that reveal the models' bodies.

DRAPING DRESS

With the autumn winter 2023-24 fashion shows , the woman's body has become a space on which to exercise one's mastery of draping . Designers and creative directors have shaped enchanting draping-dresses as if they were real sculptures on the female silhouette. Among the true connoisseurs we mention Maximilian Davis at Ferragamo with minidresses, Massimo Giorgetti at MSGM with structured dresses with mega bows and Jonathan Anderson at Loewe who encloses all the drape of the silk dress inside a metal sphere positioned on the décolleté.
