At Paris Fashion Week Thom Browne returns to the catwalk with an irreverent and playful fashion show that explores sexyness in uniform with a new point of view.

In the Crillon salons, on Place Vend&ocirc;me, everything is set up for Thom Browne 's spring summer 2023 men's show . Only the latecomers are missing: Marisa Berenson , Farida Khelfa , Anh Duong , Amy Fine Collins , Cate Underwood and Sasha Pivovarova who arrived apologizing to the guests just before the start and take the last remaining empty seats. They wear total tweed suits that bear the sartorial and playful badges of the American designer and are accompanied by the Hector bag. Everything unfolds exactly as the collections in the old ateliers were once presented. Look after look, the models parade with a slow attitude and hinting at 360&deg; turns from time to time, holding the small sticks that indicate the number of the outfit. The common denominator of the show is the sophisticated tweed produced in the south of France that is toned down with the irreverence of Thom Browne jockstrap that supports the lower part of the silhouette with a deliberately sexy intention (an underwear jockstrap initially used by American athletes), mini skirt and shorts worn with a low waist, crop top and male bra.

In Thom Browne's spring summer 2023 men's show, everything is perfectly balanced: eroticism and fun, uniforms and seductions. Then there are the semiotic references linked to the universe of seafaring culture, ropes that become belts and anchors that are positioned on the tweed, in the lining of the jackets and are transformed into buckles, tie clips and face accessories. The show closes with a structured Far-West look with sinful fringed chaps on the sides, cowboy boots and hat, and a phallic jockstrap complete with a prince albert logo. A dialogue between Thom Browne's America and France with an erotic and at the same time fun sex appeal.
