In Milan, The Attico distilled the art of contradiction into a woman who cannot be defined, only felt.

When one, in Italian, says &ldquo;lei &egrave; cos&igrave;&rdquo;, one does not mean &ldquo;she is like that&rdquo;, or attempts at depicting her. Rather, one confesses defeat in trying to define, contain, direct her. That one power which is resolutely feminine is the ability to avoid classification and be memorable because of that. Duality, contradictions, idiosyncrasies are all ways of being a woman that we experience day by day, every day. Those who use to define us as such in a pejorative way are only acknowledging the fact that we, as women, are indomitable, and impossible to pin down. A proper appearance is probably the outer projection of a seductive nature. Strictness involves intrigue, maybe. Gentleness can be commanding. What one sees is never what one gets, that&rsquo;s for sure. Duality and indefiniteness have always been intrinsic of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/inside-the-bathroom-the-attico-s-first-boutique-opens-in-ibiza">The Attico</a>, but this time we truly wanted to heighten contradictions while polishing the outside to a put-together womanliness that&rsquo;s quite surprising in our world. &ldquo;Lei&rdquo; our woman &ldquo;&egrave; cos&igrave;&rdquo;: indomitable. She does not impose her presence on others, but she doesn't allow herself to be commanded. She opens doors, unafraid of what&rsquo;s behind, excited by possibilities, ready to go out, or come in. In any room, her presence is always strongly felt, without her screaming for attention. She lets instinct guide her in everything she does. There is an eminently Italian trait to her being into the world, in her way of appearing, in her taking good care of her looks, and in her carnality. In the way she combs her hair, too, this collection is rooted in this belief and in a love for spontaneity. &ldquo;Lei &egrave; cos&igrave;&rdquo;: just look at her.

Notes on the collection: An inquiry into properness, &agrave; la <a href="https://www.instagram.com/theattico/?hl=en">The Attico:</a> indomitable, untamable, instinctive. Nothing is quite as it seems; the front and the back do not necessarily match. Long, pencil trench coats set up the mood. Collars multiply, framing the neck, guiding the gaze towards the face, wrapping the shoulders. A tailored demureness, a sleek appropriateness. Lace and trims bringout an undone grace. As ever, true to a signature double sided personality, the feminine and the masculine are played off one against the other, mixing and matching. The silhouette in long, and quite covered, but the body is felt and revealed. Suddenly, waistlines scoop on the back, giving off glimpses of lingerie. Towering cork wedges with stiletto heels seal the mood, while La Passeggiata handbag makes an appearance in a Mini size that matches the picture of grown-up womanliness. La Passeggiata Mini will be available straight off the runway in seven different colours and materials.
