By choosing to hold his show on Rue de Bellechasse for the second time, Vaccarello once again affirmed his creative talent. This unique show space is not only a place to introduce the Spring Summer 2025 collection for YSL, but also an impressive work of art, reflecting the contemporary fashion spirit of the fashion house.

In autumn 2016, when <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/saint-laurent-s-autumn-winter-2024-paris-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anthony Vaccarello</a> made his debut at Saint Laurent, he brought a super-trendy construction site, with a giant neon YSL logo raised high against the Paris night sky at the house's Left Bank headquarters on Rue de Bellechasse.
 This year, Vaccarello decided to bring guests back to that unique setting once again. However, this time, things were different. Instead of a construction site, we had a unique show space: a giant yellow oval set lifted into the air, like a giant picture frame, enveloping the cobalt blue runway . A rain soaked the Parisian air, making <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/saint-laurent-x-ray-ban-limited-edition-sunglasses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Saint Laurent</a>'s new collection even more mysterious and classic in a rarely seen romantic space.

Vaccarello has created a distinctive, powerful and compelling collection by recalling the personal style of its founder, Yves Saint Laurent . Right from the heavy eyeglasses, we can clearly feel the influence of the legendary designer.
A men&rsquo;s collection focused on strength, power and control. The perfectly tailored masculine style in minimalist colours such as beige, black or plum was convincingly presented by Vaccarello. Double-breasted jackets, wide-leg trousers were carefully tailored, combined with shirts and ties, creating a look of elegance and luxury.
Vaccarello also added bold accessories like sunglasses, wide ties, jewel-encrusted shoes and gold bracelets to complete the look, which is distinctly YSL.
In an increasingly simplified fashion world, the complexity and sophistication of Vaccarello's designs really stand out. He went against the grain and created a collection that was full of life and personality.

In the second half of the show, Vaccarello deftly transitioned from menswear to womenswear with colourful eveningwear in brocade and lace. Wide-shouldered coats, billowing, translucent blouses, and narrow miniskirts were designed in bright hues like fuchsia, hot pink, and kingfisher blue, creating a look that was both luxurious and modern.
The idea of replacing the suit with soft pajamas was introduced by Vaccarello earlier, with damask tunics paired with wide-legged trousers. This was not only comfortable but also a tribute to Loulou de la Falaise, one of Saint Laurent&rsquo;s closest creative collaborators.
The shimmering silk dresses, jingling bracelets and necklaces created a look that was both glamorous and feminine. However, it was notable that despite the transition between menswear and womenswear, Vaccarello maintained a strong and confident presence in his designs, which was reflected in the confident poses of his models.

Vaccarello has skillfully incorporated classic Yves Saint Laurent elements into the new collection, creating a piece that is both nostalgic and modern. The brocade evening gowns recall the images of Saint Laurent's loyal customers such as Nan Kempner, who have contributed to the brand's legend.
