 <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/beauty/butter-yellow-nails-trend-2024-summer-nail-colour-hailey-bieber" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Summer</a> 2024 has brought us a whole host of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/boho-chic-summer-statement-jewellery-trends" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trends</a> : the return of cropped shorts , the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-brat-girl-summer-trend-shopping-selection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">brat girl</a> trend, shirt dresses, and most recently, retro scarves . So how did something once worn by Brigitte Bardot and Jackie Kennedy on the beaches of Capri and Saint Tropez suddenly end up in the summer wardrobes of Hailey Bieber, Beyonc&eacute;, and Kendall Jenner?
 First of all, we have to accept that our understanding of fashion is always cyclical, especially with the beginning of the millennium and the 90s chic. Yes, we still like to try new things and take risks , but we can't give up on the magic of classic pieces and retro. If there's one thing we know about celebrity fashion these days , it's that vintage references are as popular as new fashion trends .
 During a recent trip to Mallorca, Spain, a bikini-clad Kendall Jenner used a patterned silk scarf not only to wrap around her head , but also to wear as a miniskirt. Hailey Bieber has also made the scarf a staple of her recent style, and she gave the most obvious indication of the trend in her baby shower photos . Wearing a sheer Jacquemus dress , Bieber wore a matching pale yellow scarf and angular sunglasses . The Rhode founder also wore a cheetah-print scarf over a Fila baseball cap at Coachella .
 Although these images take the elegance of today's stars to another level , they also gave us a " deja vu" experience . We've watched this movie before . We can clearly read the Brigitte Bardot effect in Jenner's scarf-covered outfit in Mallorca , and the Audrey Hepburn influences in Elsa Hosk's white scarf - covered outfit the other day .
 Apart from references to the past , there are of course those who completely add their own interpretation to scarves or adopt sailor fashion. This essentially started in Paris when Sabrina Carpenter paired her special Jacquemus swimsuit and skirt with a scarf with the same pattern . Beyonc&eacute; adopted a very simple elegance with a white dress and a white scarf while on a yacht trip in the Hamptons . The magic of the white scarf was also used in Hunter Schafer's Cannes elegance , thus allowing celebrities to camouflage their bad-hair days and avoid having an effortful hairdo . And it turned out quite nicely.
