 For movie buffs, the dress is reminiscent of the character of &nbsp; Grace Kelly &nbsp; in Alfred Hitchcock 's film &nbsp; The Hand on the Collar . &nbsp; Walker &nbsp; was inspired by the famous Hollywood dress and decided to imitate the look worn by &nbsp; Kelly &nbsp; with the dress she made for &nbsp; Diana . The dress of &nbsp; Grace Kelly &nbsp; was a Greek-inspired chiffon dress, featuring two tones of powder blue and a scarf that draped elegantly over her torso. The Princess of Wales is said to have worked with &nbsp; Walker &nbsp; to create the look inspired by &nbsp; Grace Kelly . " It was a meaningful tribute, the actress having herself become a member of the royal family by marrying Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
