Prada addresses the overload of contemporary culture by transforming it into an exercise in distillation and synthesis. The Spring/Summer 2026 women's show, titled " The Body of Composition," reflects a process of decomposition and recomposition, in which heterogeneous elements are assembled on the body with unprecedented balance. The wardrobe proposed by the co-creative direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons is no longer an expression of pre-established hierarchies, but a testing ground in which uniforms, women's clothing, and evening dresses share the same value, redefining a new grammar of elegance.
Backstage, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons offered a reflection on the power of clothing to affirm freedom and break down hierarchies: "We don't like to think about how fashion is sometimes perceived in a hierarchical way: 'This collection is more fashionable because...' So we thought of a collection in which everything can be combined, from a uniform to a piece of jewellery . It's not about a specific moment in time, nor even a certain type of garment or construction. But we really wanted to challenge ourselves with flow," explains Raf Simons. "I never do it myself. It's so difficult to do something like that. Normally, the skirt is attached at the waist and rests on the body. In this collection, it's attached at the shoulders and left to fall spontaneously," adds Miuccia Prada.

Each look in the Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a response to excess, an invitation to consciously select garments and give fashion a new meaning. The Prada uniform, with its rigorous essentiality, meets feminine details and becomes the protagonist of unexpected recompositions. Eveningwear blends with everyday wear,&nbsp;while functionality takes on the same aura as a red carpet piece. Brassieres possess shape without relying on structure, while dresses and overcoats shape the body lightly, rejecting sartorial rigidity. The silhouette becomes changeable, open to new possibilities. The very concept of flexibility guides the collection, and there are no univocal interpretations, but rather garments that constantly change based on the wearer. Each composition is unstable, ready to transform, like a living language that is constantly updated.
Prada confirms its ability to combine intellectual rigour and aesthetic power, translating the complexity of the present into a thoughtful wardrobe.
