Staged in Seoul, Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re pulls out all the stops for Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall collection.

For his first women&rsquo;s pre-fall runway show for <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/pharrell-williams-appointed-creative-director-louis-vuitton-menswear-virgil-abloh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a>, Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re didn't hold back. Staged in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/asian-models-fashion-industry-heritage-month" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Seoul, South Korea</a>, on the double-decked Jamsugyo bridge above the Hangang River, Louis Vuitton's Women's Pre-Fall 2023 was an imaginative affair. Fountains of water poured on each side of the bridge as models walked and guests captured every look on their phones. In other words, the show was no less than a spectacle. How could it not be? Leading up to the show, Ghesqui&egrave;re pulled out all the stops including tapping in Squid Games&nbsp;director Hwang Dong-Hyuk as creative advisor for the show's scenography.
While the event was grand and cinematic, the collection took a more casual approach. To the sounds of tunes such as "아니 벌써 Already Now" by Sanullim, models walked the catwalk in an effortless manner. In continuity with Ghesqui&egrave;re's exploration of street fashion elements from <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-show-louis-vuitton-mens-fall-winter-2023-2024-as-if-you-were-there" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter 2023 collection</a>, the pre-fall runway was more casual than previous collections, yet no less luxe.&nbsp;
Wraparound shades, lug sole boots, various leather pieces, puffer jackets, and reimagined blazers all made their appearances. But for all the effortlessness, in a true Louis Vuitton fashion, the expected sophisticated detailing was ever-present. Hardware belt buckles, the Side Trunk bag, tie belts mirroring waist straps, subtle chain embellishments &mdash; the smaller up-close details that add that final touch to the looks is quintessential Louis Vuitton.
Even in a spectacular space located in a grand location, in collaboration with top film directors, Ghesqui&egrave;re doesn't get lost in the noise and showcases a pre-fall collection that is true to him and the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/fashion-show-louis-vuitton-autumn-winter-2023-2024-look-photo-video" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a> woman.
