For the 7th edition of its Dior Lady Art, the house on avenue Montaigne has once again given carte blanche to 10 artists to revisit its emblematic Lady Dior. And for the first time, these true works of art are exhibited at the Dior boutique in Brussels. An appointment not to be missed.

For 7 years now, Dior has been giving renowned artists from all over the world the opportunity to reinterpret its legendary <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/lady-dior-art-bag-artists-collaboration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lady Dior</a> bag, a true emblem of the brand, like a work of art. For this new edition, the house has given carte blanche to 10 artists from Egypt to the United States, via Qatar or China, including Ghada Amer , Brian Calvin , Sara Cwynar , Alex Gardner , Shara Hughes , Minjung Kim , Zhenya Machneva , Bouthayna Al Muftah , Fran&ccedil;oise P&eacute;trovitch and Wang Yuyang .
Painters, sculptors, engravers&hellip; Each has reinvented the Lady Dior according to their own codes, sometimes in several different versions, demonstrating the full extent of their unique talent. The iconic bag is thus transformed into a collector's item, merging heritage and creative visions. An encounter between Dior and the cultures of the world, this new inspiring carte blanche showcases virtuoso techniques and craftsmanship, driven by a spirit of innovation and limitless inventiveness. Each detail, thought out with infinite meticulousness by the artists, is a tribute to uniqueness and know-how, opening the doors of the imagination.

A favorite of the editorial staff, the bag by Qatari multidisciplinary artist Bouthayna Al Muftah calls for example on the art of typography and the creation of conceptual artists' books to represent a poetic landscape linked to his country and the Arab authors on delicate forms of muslin.
