        <p style="text-align: justify;">The Parisian fashion show <strong>"Eden the Garden of Wonders"</strong> last June represented a sort of apogee of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/portraits/lorenzo-viotti-conductor-orchestra-interview-who-and-bulgarians-man" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bulgari</strong> ,</a> between the exceptionality of the selected precious stones, the vishness of the design and technical virtuosity in the construction of jewels that enhance the lines of the body without forcing them. The staging of a dream, the full reaffirmation of the brand's glamour, and a fundamental moment also for <a href="https://www.instagram.com/lucia_silvestri/?next=%2F" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Lucia Silvestri</strong></a> , creative director since 2013. &laquo; <em>I am very proud to have managed to maintain the very high level of the Bulgari codes and spirit&raquo;</em> , she underlines. <em>&laquo;Until my appointment as creative director I had always been behind the scenes, a "hidden" role that was perfectly in my comfort zone.         <p><strong>L'OFFICIEL ITALIA: How has the world of jewelery changed in recent years?</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LUCIA SILVESTRI: With greatly increased competition it is increasingly difficult to find the right stones: I have just returned from Singapore where I had confirmation that gems of a certain type are increasingly rare. I would say that this has been the fundamental challenge of the last 10 years. Fortunately <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/portraits/lorenzo-viotti-conductor-orchestra-interview-who-and-bulgarians-man" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bulgari</strong></a> was a pioneer in the use of colored stones other than the usual rubies, sapphires and emeralds and this gives us a competitive advantage, because we are always the first to be involved when particularly interesting stones are placed on the market. From the point of view of the evolution of the public, working women, and I see it on myself, don't have the time to change their jewels from afternoon to night, they just change their bags. So I focused on models that work in both situations.</p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>LOI: Is working on Serpenti or B.zero1 as engaging as working on fine jewelry?</strong></p>
        <strong> </strong>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LS: <strong>Serpenti</strong> is a transversal collection, which includes exceptional pieces and plain Serpenti bracelets, in gold and without gems, perpetually sold out. It is a <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/portraits/lorenzo-viotti-conductor-orchestra-interview-who-and-bulgarians-man" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bulgari</strong></a> identity symbol that I personally love (and wear) very much, especially in the diamond pav&eacute; version.</p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>LOI: In addition to the emerald at the heart of the Eden collection, colored stones, used individually or in combination with each other, have always been a symbol of Bulgari. Which ones fascinate you the most?</strong></p>
        <strong> </strong>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LS: Bulgari has always created the trend in colour. Fortunately, there is less and less talk of semi-precious stones, a concept that makes no sense, because colored stones have a very high value. My favorite is the joint, which is increasingly difficult to find. There are many colors, red / pink is the rarest, but there are absolutely magnificent purple, blue. Another stone that I love a lot and which is rarely talked about is the mandarin garnet, but in <strong>Divas' Dream</strong> there are rubellites, tanzanites, citrines, tourmalines, amethysts...</p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>LOI: Since January 22, the use of 100% gold from fully traceable sources in the collections is an important step for the brand. Even diamonds are now essentially traceable. How far are you on the traceability of colored stones?</strong></p>
        <strong> </strong>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LS: We've been working for years to try and trace them, but it's definitely complicated. In any case, our suppliers guarantee the supply chain and I am proud of the fact that years of visits, which we carry out on site by surprise, have obviously contributed to a significant increase in transparency.</p>
        <p><strong>LOI: A particularly fascinating story related to a stone?</strong></p>
        <strong> </strong>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LS: I am creative director and purchasing director, and therefore every stone has a story for me. An unforgettable moment was the cut that I followed moment by moment performed in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/giambattista-valli-fashion-show-spring-summer-2023-collection-photo-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rome</a> (which is very rare because we usually have the stones cut on site) of the oval emerald which was 37 carats and became 35 in the Tribute to Paris necklace. Not to mention the story at the heart of the documentary <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=inisde+the+dream+bulgari&amp;oq=inisde+the+dream+bulgari+&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j0i13i512l2j0i10i13i512j0i13i512j0i10i13i512l4j0i22i30.4955j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&amp;vld=cid:0c395e2d,vid:sqSEBPAhFSI" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>&ldquo;Inside the Dream&rdquo;</strong></a> that we presented this year in Toronto: I had been courting an important family of jewelers in Jaipur for years to agree to cut a 4kg rough rock they owned to obtain super impactful emeralds.</p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;">I must have gone to India at least 10 times to try to convince them, but to no avail. Then after Covid they changed their mind. I dreamed of an oval cabochon of almost one hundred carats, they initially thought of a faceted cut, but ended up accepting my choice. I personally followed the cutter, seeing the mineral transform into a gem is incredibly exciting: that of stones is energy that explodes in beauty. <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/jewellery/inside-the-dream-bulgari-film-amazon-prime-video-ferragni-zendaya" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I'm talking about the emerald that was then set in the Serpenti <strong>Hypnotic Emerald</strong> necklace worn by <strong>Zendaya</strong> on the red carpet in Venice last year</a> , for the preview of &ldquo;Dune&rdquo;.</p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>LOI: Earlier you were talking about intensifying global competition. Do you think that the big "classic" names of French and Italian jewellery, plus of course Harry Winston, still retain some form of supremacy?</strong></p>
        <p style="text-align: justify;">LS: I think that "classic" jewelry , the names that you find around place Vendome, remain a guarantee in terms of quality and sustainability.</p>
        <p><strong>LOI: Is it a good time for fine jewelry?</strong></p>
