Ibiza girls steal the show at the British Fashion Awards

It was a white island takeover on Monday's red carpet

Ibiza girls steal the show at the British Fashion Awards

It’s one of the glossiest events in the fashion calendar and the red carpet looks – from the likes of Erin O’Connor, Irina Shayk and FKA Twigs - are some of the industry’s most hyped. But at Monday nights’ Fashion Awards 22 in association with Diet Coke, it was Ibiza’s homegrown fashionistas who stole the show.

L’OFFFICIEL IBIZA print star Annie Doble was the first to walk the red carpet, in a gothic Victoriana-style ensemble from her own collection. Doble’s black satin dress featured beading, ruched silk and a flowing train – a feature similar to those sported by Jourdan Dunn in Stephane Rolland and Lila Moss in Knwls - and offered more than a nod to Wednesday Addams, Hollywood's muse du jour.

Cult Ibiza label De La Vali founders Jana Sascha and Laura Castro Poorta notched up the glam factor, with Jana going for top-to-toe creamy pailletes (sparkle was a big story, as seen on Naomi Campbell, Simone Ashley and Stella Maxwell) and Laura wearing a sheer black lace with ostrich trim, a look from De La Vali’s current Love Me Tender collection.

Ibiza’s beloved Tilbury family were in full attendance, with the nieces of makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury MBE – Bella and Sofia – both wearing gothic black couture. Bella spent the evening with gal pal Cora Corre, another Ibiza regular and the granddaughter of fashion’s grande dame Vivienne Westwood.

Fashion insiders such as British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful oversaw the prestigious event, which included awards such as the coveted Model of the Year, which was won by Bella Hadid, and Designer of the Year, handed to Pierpaolo Piccioli by Florence Pugh (wearing Valentino).
