This was a night of many firsts for Don&rsquo;t Worry Darling actress <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/florence-pugh-is-the-new-ambassador-of-the-house-valentino" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florence Pugh</a>. Not only was this her first <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/met-gala-2023-red-carpet-celebrity-looks-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Met Gala</a>, but tonight, she cemented her status as the new face of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/design/valentino-launches-book-in-celebration-of-the-brand-65-years-years" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Valentino</a> with her first red carpet look under the brand.&nbsp;
Before this evening, we were treated to our first glimpse of the actress&rsquo;s Valentino collaboration in a campaign shot by Stephen Meisel. Its composition was <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/summer-suits-fashion-trends-ibiza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">minimalist</a> and elegant, allowing Pugh&rsquo;s vibrant personality to shine through. With this being our only hint as to what we might see on the famous Met Gala steps, we were expecting something energetically elegant&mdash;perhaps a flouncy drop waist inspired by <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/chanel-shoes-bags-jewelry-spring-summer-2023-to-buy-prices" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chanel</a>&rsquo;s Fall/Winter 2016 Haute Couture collection.&nbsp;

The predicament posed by tonight&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/karl-lagerfeld-met-gala-best-looks-fashion-chanel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karl Lagerfeld</a> theme is that the designer worked with few houses, making it difficult for brands that aren&rsquo;t Fendi, Chlo&eacute;, or Chanel to honour Karl while remaining true to their own brand&rsquo;s aesthetic.
Tonight, Valentino rose to the challenge.&nbsp;Pugh made her Met Gala debut in a white strapless gown with a central black bow embellishment&mdash;reminiscent of Lagerfeld&rsquo;s iconic hairstyle. The actress complimented her ample Tiffany &amp; Co. diamond jewellery with a glamorous feathered headpiece set atop a newly shaved head.
