This season, Kim Jones and the FENDI masters continue to look at the couture collection as a palimpsest (manuscript) of the inner world, where the iterations, transparency and techniques of the past make up the present and quietly move into the future.

 &ldquo;This season, I wanted to focus on the techniques and craftsmanship of<a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/haute-couture-spring-summer-2023-editorial-haute-couture" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> haute couture</a> with the lightness, fluidity and feel of today,&rdquo; says Kim Jones, Artistic Director of FENDI Couture and Womenswear. &ldquo;This is a celebration of the ateliers and craftsmen who create these clothes, their hard work and emotional involvement in each item, felt by both the manufacturer and the owner, a celebration of the hidden traditions of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/high-fashion-country-style-pastoral-fantasy-miu-miu-louis-vuitton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high fashion</a>, of how they live and breathe. The collection turns the inner world into the outer - figuratively and literally - with the feeling that <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/lingerie-sets-silk-tops-bottoms-organic-cotton-lace-gucci-la-perla" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lingerie</a> becomes evening wear.

Couture traditions are created at the same time humane and accessible, light, with a feeling of brightness, clarity and lightness for the wearer. Avoiding the "costume" and choosing clothing with a softer, more compliant sense of freedom of action for a woman, changeability is found. Flou focuses on dress and fit, but the ensemble idea is also resurrected in a new sense, with the notion of straightness and flexibility replacing impenetrability. Winged sleeves (batwing sleeves) are often detachable; <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/national-underwear-day-outerwear-thong-corset-bra-top-trends" target="_blank" rel="noopener">underwear</a> is designed as part of the look, often in the same intensely embroidered and unexpected fabrics, even when they are invisible; the coats reflect the profuse embroidery of their matching dresses on the inside, but can be turned inside out; skirts with "apron" fleur can also be worn as stoles.

A skillful &quot;sprezzatura&quot; of the perfect and the imperfect permeates everything - carelessness and purposeful imperfection - in order to achieve greater human perfection. Clothes to not only look at, but to live in. Drapery and tie at the body, exploration of lace and its placement, hand pleated motifs, together with the elevation of exceptional knitwear, create a sense of sculptural and organic, while at the same time displaying a virtuoso &quot;sprezzatura&quot; . Even utilitarian climbing carabiners are converted into sumptuous sculptural objects to casually tie fabrics and materials together.

The idea of the perfect and the imperfect, the machine world against the organic, the transformation of the hard into the soft and vice versa is combined with the highest craftsmanship of the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-pinball-disc-and-the-fendi-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FENDI </a>studio in the motif of a metallic leather cord. At times looking like chain mail - especially when wearing repeating gloves - exceptionally soft and pliable handmade leather with guipure cutouts and lace inlay inserts to go through dresses with matching underwear. In the same vein, the finest Fuuga Japanese Mohair yarn, the finest yarn to be found today, is framed, becoming the apotheosis of crochet with its delicate lightness, to match the lace of the cascading dresses.
