<p style="text-align: justify;">Born in Lebanon, in a context deeply marked by <strong>war</strong>, Elie Saab managed to turn a dream into reality. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Raised in a modest family,</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">he designed and made dresses for his sisters, a spark that ignited his passion.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">&ldquo;My priority was to support my family, so I started designing and making dresses. Soon, those garments caught the attention of more people, and I began to see a future. A turning point was the invitation from the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris, making me the fourth non-French designer to join it, after big names like Valentino, Armani, and Versace,&rdquo; he says. Saab proudly recalls his first show at the Camera Nazionale della Moda in Rome: &ldquo;I had the honour of being the only non-Italian designer. It was one of the most important stages of my career.&rdquo;</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;"><br /></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>From the beginning, the designer has found inspiration in his <strong>homeland</strong> and the <strong>women of the Middle East</strong>: &ldquo;My culture plays a central role in my work, and the elegance of Lebanese women is an essential element in all my</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">creations, since my beginnings. Today, I continue to fuse the essence of Lebanon with a contemporary aesthetic, maintaining the attention to detail and that sense of refinement that has always characterised me.&rdquo; In 2002, Halle Berry wore one of his creations to the Oscars. &ldquo;It was a pivotal moment in my career. I was able to show that a dress can be much more than a garment: it can represent a dream, an emotion, an unforgettable moment.&rdquo; Since then, the <strong>red carpets</strong> have become the ideal setting for his creations, adored by celebrities around the world.</span><span><br /></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>For Saab, <strong>craftsmanship is not just a technique</strong>, but the very soul of his work: &ldquo;When I organise a fashion show, I don&rsquo;t just want to present dresses, but to tell a story. Every element &ndash; from the music to the lights, to the atmosphere &ndash; is designed to engage the audience and transport them to the world of my brand, to my universe. The goal is to create an experience that goes beyond fashion.&rdquo; A special collaboration for the designer was the one he had with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/celinedion/"><strong>C&eacute;line Dion</strong></a>, at the fashion show celebrating the 45th anniversary of his brand, titled</span> <span>The</span> <span>1001 Seasons of Elie Saab, in Riyadh. The event featured appearances by Jennifer Lopez and supermodels such as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/adrianalima/">Adriana Lima</a> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/candiceswanepoel/">Candice Swanepoel</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/evaherzigova/">Eva Herzigova</a> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mariacarlaboscono/">Mariacarla Boscono</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/helenachristensen/">Helena Christensen</a> . Another significant collaboration was with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/carineroitfeld/"><strong>Carine Roitfeld</strong></a> , who styled the show: &ldquo;She&rsquo;s an incredible creative force. Working with her was a natural fit: we share the same passion for attention to detail.</span> <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Carine knows how to tell stories through images, adding a depth and intensity that fit perfectly with my designs. Believe in your dreams and work hard, without ever losing sight of your goals.&rdquo;</span><span></span></p>
