A long press note from stylists <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dolce-gabbana-returns-to-their-origins-for-spring-2024-in-milan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana</a> explains the meaning of the must-have item from the Dolce&amp;Gabbana autumn winter 2024-25 collection.
&laquo;The tuxedo is the symbol of the purest style. For us, only style allows us to go beyond fashion: the simpler, more classic a garment like the tuxedo, the more perfect it is, that is, eternal, timeless.
But style must be affirmed, refined, renewed: today we can create a tuxedo several times, improving it and making it different each time. It is by perfecting the essential garments that we have created our personal and recognizable style: the Dolce&amp;Gabbana woman can therefore wear the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/tuxedo-jacket-trousers-woman-for-new-years-eve-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tuxedo</a> always feeling fashionable, with its simple and rigorous lines that accentuate her femininity.
For us, designing a tuxedo means proposing timeless elegance, deeply rooted in our sartorial culture. It means giving women a classic wardrobe that, escaping the fashion of the moment, allows them to have more self-confidence.
We have always found our style through women: ours are never abstract designs but clothes that live and move on a woman's body. We adore fabrics such as nets, veils and lace, which create transparencies on the female body, cuts that highlight her sensual shapes. With our stylized pencil line, which stands out on the white paper, we also dress the dreams, ambitions and desires of the Dolce&amp;Gabbana woman.
Ours is a love story with women, and in the tuxedo we decline female tailoring. A meeting of contrasts: masculine and feminine, austerity and seduction intertwine, leaving every woman the freedom to express her own concept of style.
<a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/12-black-mini-skirts-for-your-autumn-wardrobe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Black</a> is the distinctive feature of the collection, illuminated by precious crystal dresses: we love black because it affirms, designs, stylizes. Everything becomes simpler, linear, sartorial: a woman in a black dress is a pencil stroke, a pure line. It represents the mystery.
The linear elegance and sophisticated simplicity of the tuxedo therefore enhance its femininity: a woman in a tuxedo fascinates with her elegance, her ambiguity, her seductive strength. &raquo;
But it's not just a classic tuxedo or a cropped jacket and shorts. Lace dresses that flirt with lingerie, large robe de nuit in silk, dressing gowns with butterfly sleeves that recall 40s divas &agrave; la Lana Turner or straight out of a remake of the film with Kim Basinger LA Confidential, a long studded slip dress of crystals, the spotted pattern of the large oversized coat, of the bustier worn in the front row by Eva Mendes and a sling back model with a satin bow or studded with crystals. Flat cap with dotted lace veil, silk blouses with maxi contrasting polka dots, collars and tops with feathers, patent coats always with the feather detail, like a true diva of yesteryear cinema. Rooted in the brand's sartorial heritage, each piece is a hymn to femininity: powerful, seductive, confident. The tuxedo evolves to incorporate sensual details of velvet and lace, mesh and chiffon, captivating lines for bralettes, culottes and striped stockings, tied together by the characteristic distinctive shade: Sicily black.
