Edith Piaf, Juliette Gréco and Catherine Dior, the very first Miss Dior and sister of the founder Christian Dior, become the starting point for the women&#39;s autumn winter 2023-24 fashion show presented during Paris Fashion Week.

<div dir="auto" style="text-align: justify;"> An imposing environmental sculpture invades the setting. A multimedia installation with flashing lights named " Valkyrie Miss Dior" , a site-specific artwork created by the artist Portuguese Joana Vasconcelos , a tribute to the courageous sister of the founding couturier, Catherine Dior , which was both the first "Miss Dior" and the starting point for the new Dior autumn winter 2023-25 collection . On the show, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri brings simple looks to the catwalk composed of black suits proudly worn with leather gloves, refined houndstooth suits and more boyish structured looks with tailored trousers, white shirt and black tie.</div>
<div dir="auto" style="text-align: justify;">Focusing on the French style, the creative director explains in a press release that this time she has let herself be guided by 3 extraordinary figures who have subverted female stereotypes: Catherine Dior , &Eacute;dith Piaf and Juliette Gr&eacute;co . Monsieur <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/chez-dior-kim-jones-dives-into-the-womens-archives-for-its-menswear-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christian Dior</a> 's sister did it by starting to grow and sell flowers as a message of hope in the post-war period while for Edith Piaf and Juliette Gr&eacute;co, it was through their voices and their supreme stage presence.</div>

<div dir="auto" style="text-align: justify;">Maria Grazia Chiuri translates all of this with the fall-winter 2023-24 women&#39;s collection. A triumph of printed dresses with blurry or abstract flower graphics, but also faded animal prints. And then all that <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/fashion-week/dior-e-l-omaggio-alle-sue-muse-per-opera-di-mickalene-thomas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior</a> aesthetic language carried forward with very fine embroidery, sparkling swarovski and ultra-luxury applications. All by taking up the silhouettes of 1950s clothing originally conceived by the founder. And yet compact jackets and blazers, quilted outerwear, utilitarian sleeveless coats with refined touches, degradé knitwear sweaters and waistcoats, tailored coats and trench coats. At the end, the models parade to the tune of “Non, Je ne regrette rien” as if to reiterate the sophisticatedly rebellious soul of the Dior woman.</div><div dir="auto" style="text-align: justify;"> A collection that speaks of fragility and feminine strength. An ode to Miss Dior, developed as a reflection on fashion and the body, carried forward with the timeless Dior aesthetic.</div>
