For Kim Jones it is 5 years of anniversary as creative director of Dior Men. At Paris Fashion Week, a celebration of past creative directions defines a new moment of the House of Dior.

A beginning with an ending. After a reproduction of video mapping on the surface of the floor, thanks to a game of trapdoors and platforms, the whole cast of models rises simultaneously, allowing spectators to take a close look at all the looks. Having fun with the fashion show format, <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/hommes/dior-men-mens-collection-spring-2024-photo-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kim Jones</a> thus celebrates his 5 years as creative director of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/the-dior-men-winter-23-24-collection-is-like-poetry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior Men</a> . &laquo;Dior is a haute couture house: everything revolves around the clothes. The core of Dior is the silhouette, the shape, the technique and the workmanship of the highest level. I like to think that in five years - this is the show and the collection for my fifth anniversary - I have never forgotten it&raquo; explains Kim Jones in a press release, &laquo;It is a culture that we have inherited from the past of women's fashion that we applied to the present of men's fashion. And for the first time in our collections, it's a collage of influences from different predecessors of the House of Dior and eras that we wanted to pay homage to at the same time, along with some of our own. All are connected through textures and techniques, together with some of Dior's pop icons, especially cannage&raquo;.

In Dior Men's summer 2024 men's collection, the silhouettes of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/yves-saint-laurent-60-years-that-unite-6-iconic-museums" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yves Saint Laurent</a> re-emerge, the highly sophisticated embroideries of Gianfranco Ferr&eacute; , the cabochons of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dior-india" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christian Dior</a> and the textures of Marc Bohan. From the New Look to the New Wave, everything turns out to be a melting pot of references to past creative directions that are taken up by Kim Jones to celebrate the heritage of the French brand and his permanence as creative director. Harrington jackets, polo shirts, knitwear sweaters, super fit tailored suits and customized shirts with jewel applications. Everything is decorated with swarovski applications, colored stones, decorative pins and touches of sequins. The palette is sampled with soft colors of peacock, cream, beige and ash, contrasted by colors that approach the fluorescent palette with pop blue, yellow, fuchsia, lime green and coral. And yet hints of animalier and Dior's cannage pattern appearing on outerwear, suits, sleeveless tops, shorts and sweaters. Everything is accessorized with Saddle bags, utilitarian tweed backpacks, rolled leather sandwich bags, Stephen Jones hats.
